What's new

The McDonalds of the sky.

Let me know how it is. I just got off of a AA PHL-DFW dinner flight. Hot towels, glassware, warm nuts, linens, choice of pasta or chicken, salad, bread basket brought out several times, good wine and then ice cream sundaes. Oh, and mints at landing.

I told the A that I was in shock over the service and he said, oh. I know, we've cutback so much. I said, well, maybe but US is way behind you and he said what, do they use plastic cups and when I said yes he said, omg I was kidding.

We Are SOOOO Happy to Hear About Your AA Flts.......And You Keep Posting On OUR Board For What Reason? WE DON't CARE!!

Ignore them US1. I promise you it's worth hanging around to hear about the "American Experience." Think coach, but up front. You'll see what I mean.

Come on, you know I don't scare off easily. I can't wait to see how bad the american experience will be. I never thought I'd say this, but I am excited about the rumor of alitalia coming to phl.can I borrow your sweatsuit embfa? My pants are getting tight. AA and CO feed you more than a senior momma can handle....nah, what am I saying,..they could eat an A330.

I thought glassware was brought back on all East Domestic f/c flights?? The west has never had plastic cups on meal flights. I also heard they are provisioning liquor now for the East crews in PHX and LAS, good news. We are still not getting liquor in PHL or CLT on west flights. WHY??

Well you thought wrong. Your moron craptastic management removed all of the galleys so there is no where to put it. Maybe it can go in the cockpit, or maybe on the lavatory floor. Please tell us, what's the business casual way? There should be glassware on all flights, regardless of fleet type or whether or not there's a meal.

The only glassware is on the transatlantic flights, although we'll see how long that lasts. The glassware you use is our old stuff.

If you haven't noticed, it's been over two years and they still haven't bothered to even standardize service procedures. I know the most complex thing you guys perform out there is a beverage and a snack box, but even that is done differently. Now, we do have the hacked up galleys and exceedingly bizarre galley packouts so we have to re-do the whole thing, stack bags of trash in the bathrooms and run out of everything, so I guess 'atmospherically' they have standardized it to an overall cramped, trashy mess.

I know they ripped the closets out of your A321's and 320's, but 319's still have them. How can they not have room in the front galley? We have always had just a bulkhead on all airbus's. In the galley there should be a support cart with glassware, ice, coffee drawer and utensil support. A food cart, and a beverage/liquor cart. We even have old Braniff planes with no extra support cart, but bins to put ice food, etc??? There is room.
Our service standards are way different. WE peform 3 beverages on flights over 4 hours long. On 2-3 hours it is 2 beverage, and on express we serve full beverage including coffee and tea. liqour on all flights whether it is under 1 hour. Seems we do more on the West. Always have glassware on meal flights in f/c, even on the 737. We also recycle all cans

I cannot believe we are running the same flights, PHL-LAS, PHL-PHX, etc, and we serve the same meals, yet the West has glassware, coffee mugs, wine glasses, and yet the East has plastic cups, and styro??? That is plane wrong!!! What kind of message are we sending to the pax? Or we do a full can service in coach, then trash pick up, recylcle cans, go thru with BOB and water and coffee, and toward the end of flight go thru with another full beverage service. This is plane ridicluous! No wonder we are the lowest in customer satisfaction.

we will get this again soooooon

Do you think those pictures do justice? The same plastic silverware in a paper napkin?? The only difference I see is the linen on the tray table. The food?? Is that what we serve on Transatlantic?

Yes, this is "plane" ridiculous! That should be the name of the airline, or at least it's slogan.

We do a full can on pretty much every flight unless you're a CLT crew who acts like it's coming out of their own pantry. And a coffee service which would not be considered a beverage service per se, and an arrival service. The difference is we come through a give a drink and a meal, with coffee to follow, whereas, you guys come through with a drink, and then a meal... with water or coffee. Seems strange to me but maybe it's a business casual thing to have an appetizer soda, and a nice cup of water with dinner. Who knows.

Once again, there is no room for glassware on the cactified 320/321, or E190 which they ordered without the G2 galley. The 319 still has it's full setup but please don't let them put it one one and not the other. What's the whole 'meal flight' thing? Does glass only magically appear when food does? Why?

Whatever recycling cans entails I can tell you right now I'm not partaking and nor will anyone else.

So yes, while you may have our old glassware on the small west side of the airline, and on the international side, the majority of the airline does not. I cannot imagine how or where they could put it on our planes which they've made a wretched experience to work.

We have glassware on all West meal flights, msp, ord, tpa, mco, dtw, fll, jkf, phl, bos, bwi, dca, etc.
The glassware goes in a cart in front galley. We recycle cans with empty drawers from initial beverage service.
