The Rogue

The people who work in the media are either stupid or complicit. Nobody seems to have the ability to take apart these clowns in an interview. Talentless, unthinking hacks, they are.

What was Sarah Palin's job when she met Glen Rice?

Allow me to offer a hypothetical here plz. I agree that Mr. McGinnis is very likely a "sensationalist" type writer, however that doesn't change the fact that if (even) at a minority (say) 45% of the things he writes about are True, republican or no republican, I would not want SP anywhere near POWER in Washington. This woman I feel is Very use to getting here own way. To me, the most interesting thing that SP does'nt GET is as McGinnis says, that the people who know here Best, like here LEAST.

Another hypo if you will. Knowing EVERYONE has some skeletons in the closet, does anyone think for a moment that with a highly respected woman like (say) Laura Bush, that anyone on her street would rent an apartment to a stranger right next door to here ? Of course they would'nt. Obviously Mrs. Palin does'nt seem to garner that type of respect.

TB

Like I said I'm no Sara Palin fan and no book is going to change my mind on way or another. That's the thing about books written about public figures, they end up being hit pieces or fluff pieces. Her fans are either not going to buy the book or if they do they will dismiss it. Just as her detractors are not going to buy a fluff piece book about her. Books quite frankly are not going to change many peoples minds one way or another about her or any other politician for that matter.

Laura Bush is a former first lady with Secret Service protection. Any one looking to move in next door to her is naturally get more of a look over than someone moving next door to the former governor of Alaska.

Yes, your correct about the secret service. My blunder.

Liberal media destroys Palin obsessed McGuinniss on live TV:

Makes him look like what he is. A hack.

Seems like a pattern for the loser.

This would not be the first time McGinniss has found himself in trouble over accusations of unethical journalism. In 1987, McGinniss agreed to pay $325,000 to settle a lawsuit brought by the convicted murderer who was the subject of McGinniss’s book Fatal Vision. He has also admitted to having surreptitiously distributed a competitor’s manuscript about Palin that was handed to him by his own publisher. The leak allegedly damaged the commercial viability of that book.

In 2003, Random House released a larger-than-life, massive bestseller by James Frey entitled A Million Little Pieces. Later, it was revealed that the book was a fantastical literary hoax that made its way past some of the highest-paid and most respected editors and lawyers in the literary world. Doubleday/Random House felt compelled to offer full refunds to those who had bought the book.

Funny thing is every time the Progressives even attempt to marginalize Ron Paul they come up empty handed as he has no skeletons in his closet, his beliefs have a 30 year political track record.

This unassuming man may just be the nest President.

Sparrow, there is no way RP will win this one. None at all. I can't speak for progressives, since I'm not one, but I perceive that Paul is a very level headed and well respected individual, and the reasons I will not vote for him are entirely based on his policy leanings, and nothing other than that. Yes, I do heartily disagree with a lot (but not everything) he is running on, but that is enough, without resorting to mudslinging. To reiterate, he is very dignified individual who is likely qualified for the office, but since I do not agree with a lot of what he wants to do, I cannot vote for him. There is nothing in his past I see as worth digging up to throw at him.

By contrast, Sara "Bailin' Palin" is just plain cracked. There is absolutely nothing politically or even socially redeemable about that woman, and it does not matter what her politics are, she has no place being assistant dog catcher of northeast podunk, let alone near anything important. Same goes for Bachman and Perry. I haven't voted for a democrat for president since 1996 (though I did abstain in 2008), but if this sorry lot is the best the GOP can come up with, I will this year.

Say what you want, but Obama is at least a known quantity and has a policy different than "screw the middle class." Whatever else his failings, that's good enough for me...

Frightening to think she could have been a heartbeat away from the presidency. Even more frightening is people still consider her a viable canidate.
