This Is What AFA Thinks Of APFA

I like where Pat Friend points out that the ATA is "the Airlines Union". I bet she wouldnt hire them to teach their members about airline economics like the TWU did!

I didnt see anything bad on the video, simply a different point of view, Pat Friend even stated that they were working with the APFA on legislation.

The AA flight attendants originally sought to leave the TWU and go to the AFA but the AFA rejected them leaving them the only other option-form their own union, which they did. If the AFA had accepted the AA flight attendants the outcome would have been different.

It's been said a million times over....
NOBODY would give a day of their senority to anyone unless forced to do so.... All the outsiders love to point fingers at big bAAd APFA for doing the wrong thing...
And the folks on that pannel would have no problem handing over their hard earned senority ???
It's so easy to be on the outside of all this and say "Of course I would give my senority up.... It's the right thing to do"...
Come on people....

Yes, when APFA becomes a real Union'; then we will let it go.

sounds like you might brimming with new ideas on how to make APFA a better, more functional Union...

so.........

when are you planning on throwing your hat in the ring and become part of the solution instead of part of the problem..?

Im just sayen.........?

You're right. The FAs at AA certianly didnt owe the AFA or the FA's that came from TWA anything. Given the option, which they were, it was only natural for them to protect themselves first. If the tables were turned do you think that the 25 year TWA worker would have given up their job to a 35 Year AA worker? However if all the FA's were in one union and they could carry their seniority from company to company then things would be different but the AFA blew that opportunity years ago.

I am still furloughed so I am really not part of your problem. When J.W. gave everything that AA wanted then you guy's have the problem.

It is a real Union..... TWA F/As got a pretty good deal....They got atleast 2 more years of employment... TWA days were so numbered....People just seem to forget that...
Remember it was AA to the rescue.....
Why should I lose my senority for company that was going out of business.

Bob, TWA gave Ozark their full seniority when they where acquired even with some of our people were still on the street and not yet recalled. It was only fair. I did give up a day or two of seniority and it did not change my bidding when they were all slotted in at their DOH.

That is so not true. Get your fact's straight. Go to the hearings on the merger/acquisition and look at the balance sheet. Boeing also was willing to acquire us and keep the TWA name. The Chapt 11 was to get rid of Ichan and his cheap ticket agreements that were about to expire.

P.S. You need to use spell check.

How many F/As did Ozark have ???? AA/TWA aquisition was nothing like the Ozark merger...
Most of all TWA F/As were over 25 years senority and the TWA F/A workforce was about 4500 ...
My bidding senority would have surely gone down the tubes...
Once again its the outsiders painting the wrong picture....

OK ... Sure....
Boeing was going to buy TWA and go into the airline business.... Is that what you think????
Boeing would have no idea on how to run an airline.
I just dont believe it... not for one minute.... Why hasn't boeing gone ahead and bought another airline???
They are in the business of making airplanes... not running an airline.
And the balance sheet showed AA pumping 200 mil into TWA just to keep it alive until the transaction was completeted...
Those are the facts.....
Thats all from me.... Good luck... Time to move on....

And these posts have caused me to again contribute to the TWA FA cause at:

Sorry with new legislation no airline will be able to staple without arbitration. No, TWA f/a's are not moving on. Your SCOPE clause will be subject to arbitration and binding. AA f/a's in the future are not protected with your precious seniority. Sorry, we were not bankrupt and had cash on hand. Just wait until it happens to you. KARMA

P.S. Seems like many posters here from AA do not know how to use spell check.
