I know the BOD controls their employment. Based on stock price and profitabilty.

How long before they (The BOD) realize that the profit didn't come from their ability to run an airline, but rather from the cost cutting moves USAir put into effect from BK1,2.

Operationally...the new USAirways...is a mess.

The BOD could give a crap about "operationally"....they look at the bottom line which is $$$$.
My opinion.... Kirby looks at the revenue generation potentials without really seeing what the impact is to the operation.

You are right on the money...pardon the pun. If and until things operationally start to impact the bottom line nothing will change at the helm. As long as the $$$ is being generated then they could careless about the rest.

The BOD should run The Apprentice show with employees from the front line to be the next CEO and President. It's clear this company needs to management. Then after they have been selected we should ask the MGM to run a book on how long it will take the employees to hate the new CEO and President.

There is no AIDS test you fool. AIDS is a condition or host of conditions caused by the HIV virus. The test is called an HIV test. I have lost far too many friends to watch some fool throw around terms that they have no understanding of!

The last time the BOD replaced the CEO was during bankruptcy and the replacement was Bill Franke. BK3 is not an option and there's a part of me that would love to see the east get a taste of Bill Franke's brand of leadership. They would be begging Parker to come back.

PS- Bronner couldn't even shine Franke's shoes when it comes to the treatment of workers.

C'mon you must have a point, no need to hide it. Oh, well maybe you don't.

My point, however, is quite clear. The US east people love to complain about everybody and everything. They are the victims of the universe. Had they actually worked under a "tyrant" (the opinion of some) maybe they would be able to complain with some perspective at least. So your little History Channel moment there proves my point better than it ruins it.

It can be argued that Parker is far too nice and that the iron hand that ruled Tempe for many years might be just what is needed to build one out of many. It wouldn't be pleasant, but it would be very effective medicine to cure whining. For all that can be said about Bill Franke, he never promised anything just to make you feel better. He promised you nothing and that's exactly what you got.
