Watching WFAA.com right now.... looks like tornados heading across Centerport & the south end of DFW....

Godspeed to anyone in their path....

DFW Spokesperson just said they evac'd customers away from windows in the terminals..... 1.5" to 2" hail measured at the airport.

HDQ evac'd into the tunnels and core.

Gonna be a long night --- there's a huge wall storm sitting over FTW all the way from Mansfield to Roanoke....

Just got my 3rd call for over time today. Guess hail inspections are a priority today.....
Let me think about it .. naw ill pass wish a lot of other people would think carefully about it.

DFW supposedly closed to inbounds until 2100, 48 diversions so far, none will continue on to DFW tonight.

From Twitter: "Unfortunately, due to severe weather at #DFW, all @AmericanAir operations at @DFWAirport are cancelled through this evening."

High school and an Crosby Elementary School in Forney took a hit, no idea if there were students injured or not. Most schools were on lockdown.

Nice to see a few folks turning this into an opportunity to take pot-shots against the company, but not a single word of concern over anyone else except themselves

<_<------ Are they still using those electronic dent pulls? Sounds like they may need them! But than comes the question of how many people are qualified to use them? -------- Humm! Will that be a problem? Or will it?

No axe to grind just that the days of grabbing your tool box and running to the rescue are over.

not what AA needs at this point... esp. since it will probably take another couple days before the schedule returns to normal.
.
Does it surprise you, E, that AA people are looking out for their own well-being and aren't as likely now to go the extra mile for the company? It's not exactly like this type of thing has never happened to a bankrupt company before.

So they will have to fork over some of that $4 billion in cash in overtime pay. Do you honestly think the employees that are being subjected to another round of concessions and secret negotiations that has everyone spreading rumors and doom and gloom should drop everything and come running to the rescue?

I hope and pray everyone (people) is safe, but I am not much sympathetic to the cause of capital damage.

Surely one of those consultants has planned for this and the bean counters have it built into their plans too?
Or maybe they can quickly train some OSM's to do some composite repairs and fix the hail damaged flight controls.

If you were sitting where I've been for the last two months , and heard what they think of us, you would turn down the OT and tell them "go ahead, outsource it".

It's obvious by now that the AMR Board planned for this BK to be led by desensitized individuals with no moral ability. This unfortunate incident will once again be addressed as needed by the skilled individuals of M&E and some hollow recognition will be expressed on Jetnet.
