Tornados @ DFW

Despite the earlier twitter announcement that all AA DFW operations were finished for the day, the latest message has changed somewhat:

Due to severe weather at #DFW, very few @AmericanAir flights at @DFWAirport are operating. Please check http://AA.com for flt info.

Understandably, people are asking for some consistency in the message.
 
Run to the rescue......HAHAHAHA ! ,.....they have shown us how much they appreciate us,.....anybody taking the overtime should seriously think about it. Let them contract the work out and watch the show that will insue.
 
There will be guys that work it and the boys from TULE will come running if there is major repairs. As for me, their stinking planes can sit and rot.

Its really to bad that we cant stick together and make a statement about this.....wishful thinking on my part I guess....what a shame and what a great opportunity this could be..... to many guys willing to trade in the future to get theirs now.

OK let us have that term sheet and outsource 40%, then you can lay off boat-loads of AMT's, with the rest having hard feelings from the concessions. Now who will fix the damage to the planes? Ask for overtime, and get little. Get 7 day coverage on the whole base, and that means more headcount to make it work. Otherwise you are short on crew during the week. You won't make the schedule. Now give the AMT's a real haircut ( AMT to topped out OSM with no license premium ) to the tune of $20k a year and you have your experienced folks leaving for greener pastures. Now all new peeps in the hangar along with old guys surplused from the shops, and all are pissed off by the scedule, the bird-dogging, and the harsh concessions. Attrition will take its toll.

Sow the seeds and get what you reap, Mr Mgmt. You don't have a clue because you are a beancounter, good with numbers and charts. Will you have the means to inspire and motivate your new crew?????????? Harassment and discipline are not a substitue for experienced workers. Look into your crystal ball.

There u go e now your getting that ole aa inspiration! Six years ago when u left you hit the road and never look back. I sign off a hail inspection it stays with the aircraft until the aircraft is retired. just a little bit on an anchor they couldn't give a #### about. But hey I'm just .a brick in the ole backpack to be unloaded

Get a clue ....... we are the powerless with this Union....... I have given my heart and soul to a company that has pissed all over me while top tier execs patting themselves on the back handing out bonuses. You Sir are on the outside looking in. So yes if we can prove a point, so be it.
