Tornados @ DFW

So at the end of the day, if AA shuts down the operation, I guess you'll be the first one
standing tall yelling, "I SHOWED THEM WHO'S BOSS" !
"Stand for something or fall for everything".

I belong to one of the unions on the property and at one time I actually sat across
the table from the company over at Centreport on the second floor
.

To the guys who turn down overtime on 'principle', I'm glad you have
money in the bank and are not working at AA for their money (no matter how
much or little they pay you).

At the end of the day, I have bills to pay and if AA offers overtime, I'm going to
jump at it.
I guess the bottom line is this, if I turn down overtime, is TWU, APA or APFA going to
cut me a check?
And there was a reason why you didn't get re-elected. Have you figured out what that reason is yet?

I didn't take this job to work holidays, weekends ,and miss part of my kids growing up to make
MRO wages. We have went above and beyond for this company ENOUGH !!!!

your bills will keep going up, taxes up, gas up, education up......and you will have to live at AA in order to keep a roof over your head. I hope you feel real proud about that.

Good, bad, or indifferent, I've worked for AA for over 25 years.
I go to work and get a paycheck. If I don't get the paycheck, my family doesn't eat
and doesn't have a roof over their heads.

I still have a ways to go before retirement and no matter what happens
I need to make sure AA survives this bankruptcy.

This is the very reason our "union" has no balls. This scab would cross a line using the same rationalization.

You clowns crack me up! And there's boatloads of your type in every station. I have to believe you've just been fortunate enough to not have been through many challenges in your life, otherwise you'd have more confidence in your abilities. The problem is we've wasted so much of our time with AA believing they would honor our loyalty that we're unaware as to how many companies are out there that would value our skills more than our own company!

Typical self serving moron that will be the end of our proffesion........reaping all the benefits of sacrifices made in the past of others before us till the TWU sold us out in 2003,.....these are the kind of people who enjoy the freedoms of being an American but will be pacifists when it becomes time to defend those freedoms. First to cross the picket line as long as they get theirs.

JAB, clowns like wyomingian are the very reason why changing union titles will NOT change the culture at AA. The IGM attitude at AA has destroyed the profession. AA loves guys like him that will jump through hoops to save the airline, and then, rape him at the same time.

This forum has at least tought me,

1. The mechanics at AA will never stick together.
2. The mechanics at AA will always be trend setters for industry standard wages & benefits.
3. The mechanics at AA will bring down the rest of the industry in order to save a job!
4. The mechanics at AA will never rid ourselves of the TWU.

How pathetic is that!

You may very well be right, Paesan! You may very well be right!

You smack of HSS, O/speed....that you???

Again, good thing we never were released to strike huh?
The very wage you're making today is a direct result of unions negotiating with carriers-and not blinking.

You sound like you possess every characteristic of a scab that couldn't/wouldn't hold the line for a week. But will sure as hell take that new top out wage we finally pryed out of the company's hands.

And this place is chock full of these one way goofballs.
And the TWU and AMR knows this too. How Fn sickening is this? Beyond belief....:-/

Procedural question: I thought that Article 6 of your contract permitted management to assign overtime in "emergencies." Did AA not invoke the "emergency" provision?

Anybody have any pictures of hail damaged aircraft? Preferably without a logo or "N" number in the shot.

A new disease reaching epedemic status

An American spokesperson says it's not a fair comparison to use a hail storm to justify why a workforce shouldn't be reduced in bankruptcy negotiations
