An American spokesperson says it's not a fair comparison to use a hail storm to justify why a workforce shouldn't be reduced in bankruptcy negotiations
the ass????s still run there mouth after we save there ass
Good, bad, or indifferent, I've worked for AA for over 25 years.
I go to work and get a paycheck. If I don't get the paycheck, my family doesn't eat
and doesn't have a roof over their heads.
I belong to one of the unions on the property and at one time I actually sat across
the table from the company over at Centreport on the second floor.
I still have a ways to go before retirement and no matter what happens
I need to make sure AA survives this bankruptcy.
To the guys who turn down overtime on 'principle', I'm glad you have
money in the bank and are not working at AA for their money (no matter how
much or little they pay you).
At the end of the day, I have bills to pay and if AA offers overtime, I'm going to
jump at it.
I guess the bottom line is this, if I turn down overtime, is TWU, APA or APFA going to
cut me a check?
I guess it never occurred to you that some people feel there are things more important than unionism, Bears.
How can you vote for Dems knowing how much debt your kids & grandchildren are going to have to pay down after you're six feet under or in a pretty vase on their fireplace mantle?
How can you vote for a party who feels it's more important to follow international public opinion or international law than it is to respect our own Constitution and citizenry?
Then again, since you were indoctrinated in the TWU for so many years, I guess I can understand some of the confusion over what it means to uphold a Constitution... 😉
At the end of the day, AA is just a job. Being a union member is just part of the job. Things like taxes and laws... that's all stuff that follows you long after you've turned in your AA ID and stopped paying union dues.
I saw the video, good point. This guy is a classic example of what's wrong with our union and why the line should seperate from OH to save A@P wageshttp://www.newson6.com/story/17342472/tulsa-american-mechanics-in-dallas-fixing-hail-damaged-aircraft
