While much is being made & rightly so of the toxic fumes, I would submit to you (at least where I'm at) that our whole work environment is hostile.

We have been working way short staffed & busting our assess to get the job done & what thanks do we get a "chewing out" by a manager that we've taken a few extra minutes on our break. MORALE IS ROCK BOTTOM.

Since our work is what it is lets pay EXTRA attention to safety no matter what your job function is. I know I'm going to.
This is not any kind of job action, it's called going home safe at the end of your shift.

SAFETY FIRST.

I would say that everyone should take extra care to not be distracted at work by the types of conversations that we read here.

Remember, as much as folks like to pretend they represent all the pilots on one side or the other or that they are the only sane voice of reason, in point of fact. it's only about 2 dozen people arguing among themselves through an internet megaphone.

If morale was at "rock bottom" that would be a MAJOR improvement here, I am starting to see a trend in ALL the employee groups, and it's not looking good. Sorry it upsets you yellowboy.

said it at the beginning of the year.. DP has lost control of this ship and it's heading south fast... EVERYONE is just pissed off, nothing more nothing less.

It's like Apartheid, you can't keep keeping people down forever.. sooner or later they will rise up against you.

DP at Crew news stating "keep taking care of our customers".. Isn't going to work....

I predict in less than a year this place will have a total melt down.

"It's like Apartheid" You make, perhaps 6 figures and you have the gall to say something like that?

That's classic, in a shameful sort of way.

Maybe in that small mind of yours you're seeing that.

That last labor group meeting didn't go so well for USAPA. Seems like just about every group was fed up with USAPA's crying.

But you go on wishing.

Why must you always hijack a post into a pilot issue???????????? There was NO mention of USAPA by the OP, but you always flip it around...Grow the F up and let someone else have a discussion about problems in their area.....You wouldn't last a day doing what Harry does for a living, you wouldn't last half a day working under the wing...So let someone else post their concerns without you injecting your pilot poison...

while on the subject of the topic of this board in my station our mgmt is so weak its pathetic, got agents who dont show for flights got agents who forget to clock in or claim that the clock is broken, threats andnothing is done not even from hr and so forth down the line heck we even had an agent who parked a jet while on their own cell the capt was not happy!

LD3;
While it's true that this started out as a "woa is me, I'm so depressed..." thread, it is a fact that the author and the authors supporters are on the USAPA DOH band wagon.

Also a fact is that we are RIGHT where we are because USAPA & its supporters have refused to accept the final and binding seniority list. As a direct result of these activities, the east group walked away from a nearly complete contract negotiation. They walked away from a $34 an hour raise (NB captain).....at least.

These people are both directly and indirectly responsible for the little "safety" march they are on. Instead of honoring an agreement and moving on (four years ago), they have chosen to take the low road.

Ultimately, they will be forced to accept the Nicolau award (my belief). They willl have NOTHING to show for it but the shame they have brought upon themselves and the loss of MILLIONS of dollars and TIME OFF.

This ridiculous exercise ends when the courts finish it (YEARS) or when cooler minds figure out that final is final and binding is binding.

so, i guess the death penalty for a traffic ticket would be alright with you?

Yeah, let us know when you re-create the conditions that would allow your fantastical "final and binding" to actually have any force. Good luck. Perhaps your grandchildren can tell their grandchildren about the world that could have been. With tinkerbelle.

It's nice to dream every now and then.
