I am in my 70's. I turned 72 last Monday. There is no mandatory retirement age for flight attendants. I still enjoy the job. I'm still getting compliment letters from passengers which suggests that I'm doing a good job. Why should I retire? But, no offense taken where none suggested.
Jim no offense meant at all I'm 58 in May and will work until I'm at least 68. What I meant is I thought you could get Medicare now like you are probably taking SS checks now.
Here are the people that the right preaches to....they've got guys like this fighting for tax cuts...especially than damn "death tax". What they don't realize is that THEY will be paying the taxes to make up for the losses from the death tax. They are the ones who will get a "tax cut" and end up paying MORE. But they lap it up
It is no more narrow minded than the post that preceded it. And the fact is that there are a LOT of lower middle class voters that back a tax cut for those with Trumpian incomes....that back getting rid of the capital gains taxes...that back eliminating the "death tax"...a tax that will never apply to the vast majority of Americans. And what do they get tossed? a token tax "cut"...enough to buy MAYBE a months worth of groceries...but in the case of Kansas...I got a tax cut, but I end up sending more money to the state because they offset that cut with little things like limiting my mortgage interest and property tax deductions to half of what it actually was....lower rate but a higher taxable income = I pay more. I would expect something VERY similar on a national level. Oh...plenty of people got tax cuts - so much that the state has had to "borrow" from the state employees pension fund and divert money from the highway funds. But the bottom line is, the average middle class schmuck is paying more.
That preceeding post, that's who your party's been chasing at the expense of the middle class for over a decade. Ask anybody who voted Trump from the darkside. Get her Obama cell phone number.
Your rendition of who the GOP caters to needs some work. Let me suggest:
The dear leader will dis anybody but himself. Did Ryan deserve to be dissed? Sure...anytime someone has 6 years to come up with "a plan" and waits until he only has 60 days to pull one together deserves to be dissed. Liberals were doing it for 6 years when they pointed out that conservatives offered nothing but a repeal, but it fell on deaf ears. .. The freedom caucus only wants to see us move to a country of haves and have nots.....just step over that sick person on the sidewalk....he won't be here long anyways. The dear leader doesn't care about you, Insp4, Zom, Albert, cltrat or any of the others who don't like me....You all are going to end up getting screwed. But I won't say I told you so...I also won't expect any of you to admit you got conned either.
