So who at US forgot to run a turkey day e-saver. Every year for the past 3 years we have traveled on a turkey day e-saver with a Friday/Saturday return. We have traveled at the last minute to different cities to celebrate turkey day on planes that are just about empty. I see UAL, AA, etc had turkey day deals. Who is asleep at the switch?

They were too busy voting themselves a pay increase 😀

There was no e-saver email this week. In the past, there was at least an email saying there will be no e-savers this week.

Well, we did get a US Airways Golf newsletter that informed us it would be the very last US Airways Golf newsletter.

Sorry, but it looks like US (and a lot of others) are trying to re-train you last minute folks into buying a ticket in advance. I don't think you're going to see many more "last minute" deals -- we, and the others, have "given away the ship" at the last minute too many times and we've trained way too many people to "just wait" and prices will go down. Welcome to the world of "revenue management." It's when we'd rather have that seat go empty then "give it away," especially when we'd been giving them away below cost...

Sorry, I'm not buying it. HP had their "weekend specials" this weekend, it's just US who didn't. Clearly, someone(s) over there are ignoring the airline over here.

AGREED.....HP emailed us in advance and so did UA. US didn't even bother. Are the planes all full on the US/East side of the house? I know my flight to ORD on Saturday only had a few seats left. Maybe US is making $$$ this holiday?

I've said this before... CCY is really still in charge at US East. Tempe may think it's the new chief, but the indians still bleed CCY blood. The real question is how many of those indians are left?
