Co-Manager of Inflight

JOB OBJECTIVE Assume leadership role for all flight attendants. Contribute to the safe and successful completion of all Mesaba flights. Ensure Flight Attendant''s compliance to established company, departmental, and FAA policies and procedures. Manage the flight attendants to ensure consistency with all service and safety standards. Support operational goals as reflected in the Company scorecard.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for job performance of approximately 100 Flight Attendants Remain fully informed on all updated company policies, procedures and Federal Aviation regulations. Ensure compliance of all service and safety standards of all Flight Attendants. Maintain Proficiency as a line and check Flight Attendant. Projects professional image/standards that commands respect for management. Promote and maintain open lines of communication with all Flight Attendants. Assists Director of Inflight with identifying departmental needs and goals. Maintain consistent communication with the Inflight Director. Provide leadership by example to create a positive work environment. Establish objectives/initiatives to achieve base and departmental goals. Recognize and acknowledge individual accomplishments through established performance programs. Ensure optimum use of resources and remain within established budgetary guidelines. Work to resolve problems while ensuring proper compliance to all policies and procedures. Responsible for monitoring and collecting of outstanding liquor funds. Conducts probationary meeting ensuring standards of operations are followed. Track, monitor, and take appropriate action on all dependability and attendance related issues. Follow up on all operational, service and safety issues related to flight attendants. Assist with recruiting efforts, conduct open house sessions and applicant interviews. Conduct quality assurance reviews for flight attendants on board the aircraft. Perform administrative duties as it relates to flight attendants. Maintain employee records and uphold confidentiality. Assist with administering random drug testing. Attend career seminars/work sessions and meetings to enhance managerial skills. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Management experience required Inflight management experience desired Attain Flight Attendant Qualification Working knowledge of FAR''s as pertains to Inflight Post high school education preferred Airline experience preferred Specialized Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication. Working Conditions: Office environment, gate operations and aircraft. Working Hours: Five day work weeks Monday - Friday 8:00am -5:00pm *Work days/hours vary depending on operational need *On call 24 hours a day 7 days a week
