President Obama says the government will “spare no effort” to determine why two American airmen were killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in Frankfurt, Germany.

“I’m saddened, and I am outraged, by this attack that took the lives of two Americans and wounded two others. I think the American people are united in expressing our service to those who were lost,” Obama told reporters in a surprise appearance in the briefing room. “We are praying for a speedy recovery for those who were injured.”

Obama promised that “we will spare no effort” to figure out “how this outrageous attack took place.”

“We don’t have all the information yet,” he told reporters. “You will be fully briefed as we get more information.” He added that the attack is a “stark reminder” of the “extraordinary sacrifices” made by the members of the military.

Yes it's called Islam but ask yourself this. If the US military didn't have a presence in 139 countries including Germany would there be any US soldiers for Islamic Extremists to kill?

No in fact my uncle PFC Kenneth W Johnson, 3rd Army Corp, 90th Division, 357th Infantry Regiment landed the beaches of Normandy. Upon receiving the Purple Heart he rejoined Patton's 3rd Army and his old unit and proceed to fight in the Battle of the Ardenne and on to liberate several camps.

If you could read or bother to read I commented upon the "initiation of force" and not self defense. Of course our actions were justified via a declaration of war voted upon by Congress and signed by FDR.

So now, Sixty plus years later we have troops STILL in Germany and I'm asking one simple one word question. WHY? Why are we in 139 countries? Haven't we learned a thing in 50 some years?

I do not know that it would have averted the situation but can someone explain why US service people drive on a clearly marked US military vehicle? Seems like a little discretion in this day and age would be appropriate would it not?

On a side note. Did anyone notice that the bus they were on was a 'Blue Bird". How is it in any way a sound use of the US dollar to waste money hauling that POS across the pond when there is plenty local transportation to choose from? It's decisions like that which make me want to cut the military budget.

I'm so NOT putting her on ignore, not today, not tomorrow or anytime soon. She keeps the shite up and the moderators fail to act I'lll just file a Cyber stalking complaint and let someone else figure it out. This state I live in has a pretty broad statute, so maybe we let a Judge decide.

Like I said I DON'T initiate force, however I'm not opposed to its use in defense as would be the case here. I changed my screen name to get rid of a stalker and all I have to do is contact the law and then we see who's who and doing what.

Funny thing is she dances and dances around the real issue of our continued adventurism that puts or GI's in danger in 139 countries.
