Well of course they have to be looked at on a case by case basis. I was responding to someone who only deals in absolutes. As to WWII if we had not interceded it is highly likely that Hitler's Scientists would have developed the Atomic Bomb and we'd be speaking German.

Conversely our polict of Imperialism and adventurism has caused countless more problems than it solved with WWII being the most notable exception.

How very nice that you have a family of sheep who follow blindly. IIRC correctly roughly 600 were tried for "Just Following Orders" in Nuremberg.

One of the very last things my father gave me was a button that said "Question Authority" back in 1968 before he died when I was 13 and to this very day I've striven to do just that. What greater "Family Value" can there be?

I'm so proud that Daddy taught me the difference between free thinking and blind obedience.

While my days as cannon fodder have long passed, apparently my days of questioning authority have merely begun.

I agree here as well. We need to stop corporate and political greed from dictating our foreign policy.
