TWU Screw is about to be implemented

Kinda funny yes voters saved jobs but the tul numbers are more under this then what they put out before the vote. I can't believe they lied

Sam cerri the bag smasher told people in his base tour that apx 100 people In tul had left AA so far this year and they would reduce the head count numbers by that much, but low and behold they increased the numbers if not so sad it would be so funny

This is SOP from the TWU. Why should any of us be surprised especially the ones that have been here for the past few TWU negotiated contracts.

I hope those TWU believers wake up now and see that they were lied too.
Time to grow a set and sign a AMFA card. We need accountability in union representation. We will not see that from the TWU International (Untouchables) officers.

Those numbers don't even take in to account the work reductions in Sept 2013 or when the md80's, 757's and 767's go away!

That's right, this is just the first two threads from the tip of the screw.
The rest will come after AMFA is certifed and the industrial unions will once again blame the craft unionist.

The shame is that in 4 years the company will be happy to open the contract. With less than 1500 title one votes in tulsa guess which way the contract will be slanted? Yep if the twu is still on the property tulsa will be 100% osm's!

Rumors can kill but they start from half truths. So will base AMT's be able to bump into a line station? I heard from a reliable source in management that the line qualifying test is not the same as the old one. It was replaced or will be replaced with a much difficult one. This I believe was done intentionally to prevent base AMT's from going to the line with no line experience. I believe this is a way to get around the so called RED CIRCLE restriction that we do not officially have in our agreement. I asked a union officer about it and he knew nothing of this. I went up the TWU chain and have yet to hear anything about this. I believe it is true but the TWU local of 514 is not going to let the information out of the bag yet. Could this be more lies from the TWU? My opinion of course but something is not right here. This is a cost savings for the company. Every move a AMT makes costs AA money. A bump here and a bump there. $$$ that AA does not want to spend. I believe in seniority and no one should be on the street with more seniority unless it is voluntary. This is why we have unions to protect our seniority. I know we have no protection but WTF?

Probably the idea behind "QAM changes" for the Line slated for December of 2012 lised on page 8 of the restructuring plan.

In addition, the revision of Article 15 Reduction in Force

Article 15 (b ) (3)
(3) System Displacement Option:
If he has two (2) or more years of seniority, he may exercise his seniority to displace an employee, as outlined in

paragraph (c ) with the least system seniority in his own classification or any lower classification, in either a full-time or part-time position, in which he has successfully passed or can pass the appropriate qualification test.

NOTE: Many yes voters are going to find they did not save their job as they were made to believe, and in fact lost their job instead.

There are also many things not mentioned in the restructuring paperwork/AFW sunset plan........... What where the words Paul Harvey use to sign off with?

"And now you know the rest of the story"

Sunsets are beautiful and I love to watch them take place, strange that something so wonderful in real life would be the name given to TWU's agreement to decimate a complete maintenance base and screw the members working there.

Should have been called "The bloody end" not the "sunset plan".

I totally agree, AA could have been a little more considerate with the naming of that part of the agreement, especially considering what they are doing to the employees out there.......... IF that was some sort of a joke, I really think it will be lost in translation out on the hangar floor!

Does anyone know if the RIF numbers take into consideration of the early outs?
Do they include the early outs? The sign up window is still open. Are these numbers based on estimates of early outs? Too vague or not enough info to determine if these are the exact numbers.
