Poor leadership that wont take on greedy management with anything other than words is whats destroying Unionism in this country. Leaders who won't lead who blame the members makes me sick.
I've seen Industrial Unionists that have both and do neither. As an AMFA supporter you should remember that while the many craft unions, such as ALPA and the AFA, offered zero support to the mechanics at NWA, and willingly crossed their picket lines, the UAW, an industrial union in a different industry-did. I also recall IBT drivers in New York (Carey Country) refused to deliver to NWA.
I've been right on almost everytime. HOWEVER, when I am wrong and I learn of such, I am man enough to come on hear, admitt it, and post the correction, as well as apologize to anyone that deserves it. You on the other hand have only said one time that you were mistaken to (i think) WNMECH. Your following statement from above is a complete lie:

I have agree with you Bob. There was ibt drivers that refused to deliver as well as other union drivers. I remember being told and people vidoeing the truckers stopping, gathering information, then promply turning truck around and leaving. However, you stiil had the top dog at the ibt flying on NWA for union business. This was Hoffa himself and 2 or 3 of his goons that travel with him. This speaks louder than the truckers that refused to deliver. You are also correct that the pilots and F/A's did in fact cross the picket line each and every day.
It also speaks volumes that every single X-NWA/AMFA mechanic, at both AA and UAL has signed AMFA cards. These men and women stood up for the well over 53% of the work force that the company wanted to rid of on a permanant basis. They all said, it will be all of us or none. They just should have done it sooner than they did. They let the company get too prepaired for it.
I can also very proudly say that my Local 11 supported the NWA/AMFA strike by voting to support them with $10,000.00 per month for each and every month they were on strike. We were paying for NWA mechs mortgages, car payments, ins, child care, utility bills ect... At the time we were spending 1/2 of what local 11 was bringing in. Very proud of our local 11 for stepping up and supporting the members at NWA during their strike. I don't think any other airline union showed this kind of support, although I could be wrong, I don't remember any except for a one time cash contributuin from I think 2 outside unions. Pls correct me if I am wrong...

You offer no links, only your assurances that you are correct. If you say so....
We were also told that if they abrogated the deal they could impose anything they wanted, not what they put before the court and the company could fire anyone they wanted, no "just cause",(my guess is that was meant to scare those of us who refuse to lick managements boots) yet as the company accuses the pilots of ob actions etc they have not fired or repremanded any pilots. They have not imposed all the stuff they said they wanted to because a lot of the stuff they asked for they really didnt need. We are seeing that with the M&R contract as well. We were also told that if we voted NO 4500 mechanics would lose their jobs immediately, yet here we are months later and even though they can lay people off they havent laid off anyone. They had no place to send the work.
This is what AA wanted all labor groups to think. All the reasons more that the mechs should have voted down this contract. I say the co is showing favortism towards the pilots by entering nego after imposing cuts, which now all the other employees can see they would have done the same thing with the mechs group.
