So is that a fair representation of the work environment at Delta TechOps? If it is, no wonder DL has become the biggest airline-run MRO in the US, bringing in more outside work than AA.

At AA you have to give the worthless union two hours of pay each month to keep things like you described in your first paragrah? Along with industry-lagging pay? Whatta bargain!

Hey the union isn't perfect but your solution is wacked! You would probably the first person whining for a union when they started writing up.
Yea, if we keep an industrial union, we can go out to lunch drink beer and smoke pot.....

Decertify? We can't do that! That would mean the APPOINTED ones would have to come back to the floor. Mr. Gless would certainly then have to lower HIS expectations as far as pay and benefits. We can't have THAT!!!

Firing people for sleeping has happened at every other place (non-union AND union) I've ever worked. Nap on the company's dime and you're history.

Laptops in the breakrooms? Again, your dime or the company's?

Cutting hair and uniforms would be a bit far reaching but I wouldn't put it past a bunch of frustrated management types to require it thinking that pissing people off is the path the production.

Outsourcing? Since when has the twu ever stopped any outsourcing? In my area, much work is outsourced because the management wants us to work on aircraft instead.

I'm all for giving little and company a major cut in pay.
