The question wasn't what they SHOULD do or what they WOULD do, or even what is the RIGHT thing to do. The question was, what was the EASIEST thing to do. I believe I answered that.Oldiebutgoody,
Your answer to the second question should be retracted. USAPA was formed for one reason and one reason ONLY. To DO THE RIGHT THING in regards to caring for our Member Pilots. This is not about East and West. It is about replacing a self serving unconcerned organization (ALPA) that was serving itself at our expense. ALPA was replaced because they were NOT SERVING THE PILOTS.
Which pilots?? All pilots involved.
I predict, based on what I have observed, and I watch things carefully, that DOING WHAT IS RIGHT, will be the cornerstone of decisions made by USAPA leaders.
And that means SERVING AND PROTECTING ALL MEMBER PILOTS regardless of which company hired them.
My advice to any and all pilots is to GET INVOLVED with YOUR UNION. Have a part in the process and influence the progress.
Making this into a bigger war is not a valid use of time or energy. We will ALL have to contend with UAL's people in less than 6 months I expect. Hence NOW is the time to work out our differences.
Peace,
IW
I sit here reading posts about "yellow lanyard errors" and that someone should be fired for this or that. IT'S CHILDISH!
I don't know who did or didn't vote for whom in the election. I know that those that CHOOSE not to participate will have NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN if things don't end up the way the wish.
