US Airways to Upgrade Baggage System At Philadelphia International Airport

Airline to Invest $2.7 Million to Improve Customer Service

ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways announced today that, pending final approval by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Philadelphia International Airport, it is ready to begin a $2.7 million upgrade of its baggage handling system at Philadelphia International Airport to improve customer service standards. US Airways hopes to begin construction in early March, with work to be completed in time for the start of the peak summer travel season.

It's not an "upgrade".
We have been using a "temporary" baggage system for International arrivals ever since we opened the not yet completed new terminal.
They are simply finishing a job that they started 4 years ago. (Granted, 9/11 meant a few changes to the plans.)
However it is a step in the right direction...no matter what spin you put on it.
