The UA AFA proposed to lower its costs by more than $1 billion over six years. The proposal was given to management in negotiations today, but it is significantly less than the $1.9 billion that management requested over that same 6-year period. My hat is off to AFA. At least they are trying and keeping their membership informed. It's just too bad that the company wants all the contracts thrown out. I believe that if UAL doesn't get the numbers on the table then the judge will do it for them.
