Is the fact that UAL and LCC both went up over 11% today is an omen?

Oh Dear Santa Claus I hope so. People would actually be junior to me and I could maybe fly more than twice a month. I've been a good girl this year, Santa Baby.

Bring it on baby.....bring it on. PLEASE! ! ! ! I'd give up every present under my tree for it to happen. Sound desperate? HELL YES! !

What it probably means is that both stocks went up today. Nothing More

Oh look, it's this topic again. <_< 🙄

Now. Now, ChockJockey. Cynicism is not all that attractive.
Who's being cynical? Wasn't it oh 15 months ago we were two weeks away from announcing a merger with UA? Then of course the history books tell of of another failed attempt back in '00. Who knows, third time might just be a charm. I won't hold my breath though...

I would bet against USAirways merging with anyone until the DCA/LGA slot swap is completed, especially with UA. Also there's some DOT awards for Brazil and Haneda in 2010 that will most likely prevent US from merging since gaining another Brazil award and a Haneda flight makes US a much more attractive merger partner.

Just say Tokyo. Good grief.

Back on topic... The stock prices are rising because analysts say the worst is over for the airline industry and stock is oversold. Airlines are the Wall Street darling, for now.

Haneda 10X > Narita

So, when you say Tokyo, it could mean Haneda, or Narita.
