I agree. That actually looks nice on men even without the tie! It is business/casual enough and still looks like a flight attendant uniform.

Hello
Let me make this known, that we as professionals do not need a tie to prove that we are a professional. It is the outstanding service that we provide that will show that we are professional. Wearing a tie does not prove I am a professional.
In today's business environments, most professionals are not dressed in a suit and tie, and rarely are even our passengers found wearing one. Anyone of us can pay a visit to a doctor, dentist, attorney and they are found wearing business casual attire. I still know that regardless of what they are wearing, I will continue to receive the same professional service.
I suggest to support those on the uniform steering committee and allow them to choose a uniform that we all will be proud to wear. Those on the committee are listening to our workforce and will not allow the company to pick items that are not functional or appropriate in the look that we are achieving.
Keep in mind that not everyone will be pleased with the decisions, but that we take pride in wearing what is chosen and wear it properly.

I am curious at what the new uniforms are going to look like. I just hope they look professional.
Nick (the guy in the pix for those who dont watch Project Runway) even stated he looked like he could be the head flight attendant for British Airways(I believe) when he was doing some fitting.
On a personal side note - how could they kick Nick off when Santinos garment fell apart on the runway? Bogus judging IMO.
