I think its time we had a little "adjustment" of union dues. We have lost and are going to lose a lot yet the union is still getting the same due amount. We lose and we lose and we lose while the company gains and gains and gains.... and our union.... well they seem to be doing about the same. The union needs to take thier hit too. Their performance has been less than lousy.

Well they base dues on wages. So when we lose benifits they lose nothing. When we pay more for insurance and deductables they lose nothing. You get the ideal. Weeks vacation we still pay the same. Jim Little's wages have shot up near 300,000. While we have been going backwards.

Good point when you get the 1.5 % raises they get paid more, so glad I'm getting laid off

The International's compensation is not based on your dues at AA alone. You have left out the fact that there are many parts of the TWU. Uncle Jim (gonna strike if provoked) Little will get his a COLA no matter how many are laid off. Most likely a bonus for a job well done.

The IAM at US, actually RAISED our dues within months after we took heavy concessions in 2003. Based on what I have been reading here, you guys are just about as happy with your union as we are at US..........

With all the impending layoffs coming the TWU will lose revenue. The TWU like any government body will raise union dues to generate loss revenue. Just wait and see. Don't be surprised if those on furlough will have to pay some kind of union dues to stay on the recall list as a member even though off the payroll. The TWU never surprises me.

Here here!! this is the issue no one talks about. First we had AA's hands in our pockets in 2003, and instead of giving us some relief TWU has kept digging while doing nothing for us! It's time for a REBATE.

Want to view something entertaining?

Take one week off rom posting on this board and just simply read the posting here.

Amusing and Sad all at once.

Anyone here want to wager that the Number One Issue of the TWU is recovering the 1113 proposed slash in paid Union Business for Elected Officials?
I remember in the AA Vermont Plan of 2003 that was listed as valued at $2.1 million per year.
