United/shuttle America

SA dumped HGR and UQ announced it is picking it up with a DH8. Maybe SA saw the writing on the wall as Seigel wants to trim down the Express carriers. Maybe Chatauqua is in the same boat, I have not seen them jumping on the RJ expansion at US.

Have fun UA folks, dealing with so many Express carriers has been fun here, hope someone at HQ wakes up on this one.

E170 (possibly Republic?)
Not "possibly" Republic -- definitely.

Republic Airways (the airline, not the holding company) only has E-jets on order.

It has no begun operations yet, but it looks like it will start out as a SJP for United in the UAX program.

All the CHQ aircraft will be brand new, not transfers from US codeshare.

Republic aircraft will be ERJ-170s according to DOT documents recently filed.

All Republic flying is required to be operated by pilots on the Chautauqua seniority list. Republic is just a way to work around limitations of the Delta, American, and US Airways pilot scope limitations and the codeshare agreements with these airlines.

Chautauqua Airlines was recently named Regional Airline of the Year by Air Transport Word.
