Yesterday and today US 697, is operating with a 767, being flown on the PHL-LAS leg. Where did US get this extra widebody? It returns as US 642.

this has happened before when there is an issue with one of the 75's. I've had it happen in MCO. It has happened in LAS before. Think of all of those seats for UPGRADES!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Unless I'm mistaken LAS has no K-loaders. This is going to be trouble, especially with the record heat in PHL when it returns.

Open load no containers. Happens all the time when they sub a 767 where there is no equipment (TPA). Remember the first time they did this after they took our equipment out and someone forgot to advise the upcity (either CLT or PHL cant remember which) not to container load it. We had about a 2 hour delay getting the bags off and back on since we had to beg and borrow the equipment. Since then, its been smooth when it happens.

What route is being cancelled for the substitution? I would guess that the Las Vegas route has pretty much revenue on it to cancel a Europe flight.

One 767 flies domestic during the morning, so just a sub.

Today flight is a 757-200. The return doesn't get back in PHL till around midnight. So am I hearing that this is a 767 that doesn't do daily over-the-pond jumps?

Buffalo,
Sunday's PHL-LAS trip was substituted with a 767 due to a bleed air problem on the originally scheduled 757.
The 767 returned from Europe around 1230 hr. and made up the very late flight to LAS.
The 767 was futher delayed so maintenance could remove the International nav data softload and load the domestic.
Routing made the decision to run the flight hours after schedule in part because the east bound 757 from LAS was also out of service. Our thanks to the West crew for fixing the 757 in LAS.
