Us Airways Pilots Call For Removal Of Siegel, cohen

Wish that AFA would have been asked to sign on.

After all the egregious actions by this management toward labor , 20,000 employees gone, $2B in consessions, pension termiations, BK, attempts to outsource MTC work, displacements, and still now to say that the 'business plan" needs fixing with even concession #3 looming after the holidays with possible many more furloughs, blatant violations of our contracts and stealing more costs saving from the employees, and instituting policy after policy that hurts the employees and "dehumanizes" them, it truly is a time for this management to leave our property.

This single departure of the entiremanagement will improve employee morale 10 fold, and we can all start to heal.

Yea, They are all in on maximizing their investment and "murdering" our careers.

Well, good luck Bronner on your investment. You won't get anything more towards your investment from the employees of U.

Wow, you all need to read Bronner's statement, if he believes that, then I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn Deed and all!

"The US Airways Board of Directors has complete confidence in the management team, and Dave Siegel in particular. It is regrettable that ALPA would suggest that a change in management is the solution, when this management team has done a remarkable job and earned the confidence of the investment community for their leadership in tackling difficult issues. The shareholders, management and employees of US Airways all want the same thing: a successful airline. We are all frustrated with the reality of the airline industry and the need for significant change by the legacy carriers, but it is reality.

"ALPA's action does nothing to address the bigger issue of how we complete our restructuring and become a successful company, and ignores the fact that shareholders rely on management and union leaders to work together to solve problems, rather than looking for someone to blame. Personally, I believe that US Airways has thousands of great employees who want to see this airline succeed, and we are going to focus on them, and not the unconstructive statements of those who fail to recognize that the world is changing and that we must adapt.

"Over the last year, this team has successfully emerged from Chapter 11, secured a federal loan guarantee to enhance the company's liquidity, implemented a business plan that has achieved the greatest revenue and cost improvements in the industry, and financed a significant regional jet order. To accomplish these goals, Dave Siegel and his team have had to earn the confidence of investors, government agencies, and the banking and financial community.

"The Board of Directors will continue to work with Dave Siegel and this management team to revise the business plan, to maintain the confidence of all stakeholders and ensure the company's success and growth."

Bronner needs to think before he makes statements such as that. First of all the state of PA and the county of allegheny do not have all that much respect for Dave. Secondly, a number of analyst are questioning his grand plan and whether or not US Air will be able to survive as a viable company.

So please tell me what Dr. Bronner is smoking down in Alabama???? Yes, Dave Siegel did a fantastic job at getting the company out of Ch. 11 but we are in a completely different game now and the ship is sinking.

Lastly, I am sure every current employee absolutely wants the company to survive. For Bronner to make a snide remark such as we are going to focus on the employees who want the company to survive is just utter nonsense coming from the chairman of the board. This just goes to show you the difference of how Bethune is head and shoulders above these two clowns.

It is time for the junior varsity to take a seat and let the varsity step in. I think the pilot's left out one name in their call for resignations and that is Dr. Bronner.

From Bronner;

"Over the last year, this team has successfully emerged from Chapter 11, secured a federal loan guarantee to enhance the company's liquidity, implemented a business plan that has achieved the greatest revenue and cost improvements in the industry, and financed a significant regional jet order. To accomplish these goals, Dave Siegel and his team have had to earn the confidence of investors, government agencies, and the banking and financial community."

Ah, but he hasn't earned the confidence or respect of the most important people of the entity. The employees. And for a supposedly intelligent man to ignore that aspect of the formula Davey Bronner then you are simply out to lunch with his "team". And revenue and cost improvements are worthless unless they generate a profit. And the "team" hasn't done that. And another thing Davey Bronner, the "team" at LUV and JetBlue and CAL include both management AND employees. That, not the government, bankers, inverstors or the financial community, is how one wins the game. The ALPA statement has raised the bar. Stockholders and investors now know this labor group has had enough.

Again from Bronner:

"Personally, I believe that US Airways has thousands of great employees who want to see this airline succeed, and we are going to focus on them, and not the unconstructive statements of those who fail to recognize that the world is changing and that we must adapt."

Count over 5000 great pilots in that group Davey B. And if you focus on what we are saying you will see we understand the change in the industry. We gave him what he asked for. And then some. What other pilot group has given their pension? He has squandered it Davey B. You know it. We know it. And Siegel knows it. We have much more to lose here than you or Dave Siegel. And we want him out. We want someone who we can trust to run this company ethically and profitably. He can't. This isn't unconstuctive rhetoric Davey Bronner. This is a dedicated group of professionals whose careers are in serious jeopardy because of a "team" who may know money but not how to run an airline.

Dave Siegel also has my full support. There are many employees that do not understand the serious economic reality that we face as a company. Dave is the best person to lead us to profitability. The name calling and bashing of this management team must end. The naysayers are in the minority.

Dr. Bronner clearly states that management and labor must work together. The time is now for each employee to contact their union representatives advising that they are willing to work together as a team. Dr. Bronner has given this management team a vote of confidence.

Labor is only looking for someone to blame. We can win as a team and it is time for each labor group to join Dave in fighting the competitors. There are thousands of employees that still have faith in this management team. They understand that everything is on the table and are willing to make the needed sacrifices to save this company.

Since when do team members steal work and jobs from fellow team members?

You would consider the 5000 plus pilots of ALPA in the minority?

You are not thinking clearly. A team needs a leader. We do not have one.

HAWK,

Most employees understand all too well the serious economic reality we face and that is why Dave is not the best person to lead us to profitability.

The name calling and bashing of this management team will not end because the same employees who understand "serious economic reality" are in the majority.

Dave has done nothing to build a positve working enviorment that would allow management and labor to "work together as a team".

Labor is beyond looking for someone to blame, they just want a leader that will stop crying like a baby and use what he has already been given to make this airline profitable.

Let Dave show us he can run a airline without his hands in our pockets every time he feels the pressure of being a leader !

The IAM

The AFA

The CWA

The TWU

....and how many "At-Will" Employee's that are too scared to voice their actual opinions out of fear of what would happen to them...and WE are in the minority?

Who is kidding whom here Hawk ?? Even Wall Street sees the management group as the problem....and that my "Predatory Friend" is Investor Confidence summed up in a nutshell.

Wall Street and the investors are not betting against the employees' of U...Wall Street and the investors are not putting the Employee's on a credit watch.....it's YOU at the top that creates concern that affects us all.

I think Bronner has bought up more property in Alabama....and on that property is an Ectasy or a Crystal Meth lab.
