God forbid someone not have a horrible attitude about EVERYthing. If you're so happy to have moved on, why are you on here bashing someone for no reason? Gues your horizon just isn't as big, and probably never was. When I'm happy, I don't need convincing from others, or to convince others they are unhappy. Some people's definitions of "moving on" are different than others I guess.

Not defending anyone's point of view on
this matter, however, there is a certain
amount of "Stockholm Syndrome" going
on with the employees who have stayed
with US. There are many employees who
are biding ther time and waiting for
a merger or outright failure of US so
they can end their personal hostage
crisis. The number of employees quietly
wishing to close this chapter of their
lives is higher than you would think.
Many just don't talk about it because
they need the income until they find
another career, or until they are
release with unemployment to cushion
the transition to a new career.

Those who have stayed are getting
tired, but giving 110% every day
because they know in the end, they
can rest assured they did everything
they could to keep the pig flying.
It's getting close to "go time". The
results of the current merger talks
with HP will provide closure to some
of the hostages very soon.

Why do I care, tis the question. Why do you care if I care, does the realities of your life scare you? Do you have a hard time sleeping at night knowing you don't know? Many men and women spent even more time than I did at U devoting their lives to it only to be tossed out like a rag doll, and if that's not enough, their pensions taken away, the one thing that they counted on is gone as well. And you have the nerve to say go away, go away so you are not reminded of your reality is why you want me and the others to disappear. I believe absolutely believe U will not make it, and I also believe it shouldn’t because if it’s successful it will only be off the woes of tons of past employees who were discarded like filthy trash. According to Lakefield's April 14th leter to employees:

"....we will introduce an employee reward program built around on-time operations..."

What exactly is he implying? Are we going to get monthly OTP bonus checks like those given out at CO when we meet OTP goals?


Actually, I think thats exactly what he may be hinting at ! American Eagle employees get a monthly bonus if the Sked:14 arrival and departure goals are met. I read one of their flyers a flight attendant gave me a couple of months ago. its $75.00 extra if they meet or exceed the goal for each month.

Newborn means you're still young, most likely anyway and with youth come ignorance which one day you will realize after too many years are forever wasted.
