I also want to know about this Henry County mindset. Its mostly a minority county AFAIK so i think he is barking up the wrong tree with that one.  
 

So... it's OK to make slurs about someone living in a poorer or less sophisticated county, but not OK to make slurs about someone living in a poorer country?

Henry County hardly suffers from any disease that Fulton, Coweta, Paulding, Fayette, Dekalb or any other part of Georgia don't also have.

same as Polk County, Iowa; Riverside, California; Tarrant, Texas or Manhattan, NY.

Human beings typically "keep to their own kind."

We could easily call it a human mindset.

saying that whites should just suck it up and not speak out against racial slurs is the embodiment of this type of insular thinking. In reality, Henry County's race relations are probably at least as good if not better than much of the rest of the country.

IN case you haven't noticed, the US is experiencing one race related incident after another.

It must be very discouraging to people like Martin Luther King and others who worked tirelessly for improvement of the US racial condition to see what continues to go on.

even if it was poorly spoken and admitted as such, saying that whites should butt out of commenting about a racially negative comment is precisely the reason why race relations in the US are still as bad as they are.

stuffing one's feelings but not changing what one believes deep down is not the answer.

The Latin influence on the US is real and will only grow.

some people see growing economic ties including this treaty with Mexico as an opportunity to increase social ties as well. I understand that others do not.

Delta and every other airline see growing social and economic ties as inseparable and necessary in order to grow their businesses.

I have presented multiple facts to counter notions that people have about Henry County that aren't at all true.

I have an adopted family member from Henry County. They are good people.
