US sends planes to Aeroman

American jobs are not immune from outsourcing something some airline employees failed to see because of ego.How can good American jobs compete with third world wages?
There has been a reality check for some highly skill profession labor union employees.
 
Airlines like USAirways,United,and Fedex, just to name a few farm out their heavy maintenance work to repair stations because of cheap labor.Safety takes a back seat even with oversight , there are simple not enough inspectors overseeing the work performed.

It will take another accident like Valujet 592 to wake everybody up to make changes to the way the airline industry conducts its maintenance work.
 
Valujet, wasnt bad maintenance, it was bad shipping procedures on the O2 generators.
 
Pilot jobs are next. In 1 1/2 years the age 60+ guys start to retire at 65. I received a cold call from an outfit in Canada last week, looking for pilots. It used to be you could never get a job in Canada as a US citizen.
 
MROs are driven by time and money, safety takes a backseat. Foreign MROs are not subject to the same regulations as US based mechanics, no drug testing, dont have to know english and the FAA barely visits them over time.

And most of them are not even licensed mechanics.
 
SAL (Aeroman) has done a very good job on the heavy check MX for two of Americas safiest airlines for many many years.

I wouldn't give a second thought to flying on an AC just out of check reguardless if it was done in PIT, CLT, SAL or MCN for examople.

what Im afraid of is what happens when say God forbid one goes down and the third world maintaince is too blame just as the faa for their failure of oversight. talk about scary
