The old U did'nt need any help from AWA to make it on these shows. I was there.
Its funny if you take it as a bash on the lack of service, which the Simpsons reference may be. But keep in mind the episode was from the late 80s, early 90s and may be referencing the crashes from around that time. The Saturday Night Live skit certainly was...
anyone remember the simpsons when bart wins a trip tp orlando...they go to "disney" and their is a ride called the worl of tommorow- sponserd by eastern airlines. one scene has a giant robot floging the eastern employees....was pretty funny
I remember this episode it's pretty old, If I'm not mistaken it said US Air not US Airways which dates the episode....
The Simpsons' episode was circa 1995 or so... before the name change er adjustment to USAirways.
The episode aired in March, 2003.
If the Sandbox keeps trying they can make the Simpsons again.
What about the "Buh-Bye" skit w/ David Spade ? US wasn't mentioned specifically but they did say "Welcome to Pittsburgh"......Do you remember when USAir made Saturday Night Live?
.US never made "The Simpsons"....Boy, we must be the laughing stock of the industry!Way to go Tempe! Keep up the good work!
