Everything comes full circle I suppose. LAX-SJD was the first route that USAir dropped after the PSA merger back in 1988.

Who knows what's next. The Smile is back, maybe mini skirts or hot pants are next.

The Cabo flights are very popular from Phoenix on HP, its amazing how much traffic goes in there. HP offers some pretty good frequency, especially in the winter months...this should work well out of LAX.

Well, US/HP recognized that they wouldn't get the route, and decided not to go through the trouble/expense of following through with the application. Supporting exhibits for the applications were due today; instead, US/HP filed a letter withdrawing their application.
