US Airways "overweight"

Prudential Financial

NEW YORK, March 20 (newratings.com) - Analyst Bob McAdoo of Prudential Financial maintains his "overweight" rating on US Airways Group Inc (USG.FSE). The target price is set to $88.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company is likely to complete integrating America West and US Airways into one FAA operating business in 2Q07. US Airways continues to limit its capacity in certain markets and replace only those aircrafts that are over twenty year old, Prudential Financial says. The company is expected to generate significant EPS growth in 2007, the analyst adds.

A nice B787 and B739-ER order and completed union contracts would be nice additions to Wall Street sentiment. Let's get er' done guys!

Shouldn't that last part have read...

"The company is expected to generate significant EPS growth in 2007 thanks to screwing all customers including it's most loyal Frequent Flier elites, the analyst adds."

Message to Tempe........SHOW US YOU CAN RUN THE AIRLINE. The last several weeks have been HELL on everyone. And I couldn't give a damn what Wall Street projects....public perception is more realistic than what these financial gurus see in their crystal ball.

The Street must be collectively be smokin' a big doobie, or had a good dose of that yummy Tempe kool-aid.

US can't continue making money if US can't get customers and bags to the right place at the right time. If US keeps pissin' 'em off, they'll eventually go away.

Oh, wait. Airport efficiency vis a vis QIK, the stellar chicken caesar sandwich for $5 with no chips and wilted lettuce, no place to hang up their coats, smaller F/J cabins and shrunken seat pitch will woo them back in no time flat. Silly me. I forgot. Mostly, it's the delicious focaccia bread that'll keep 'em calling.

WRONG! The reason they keep coming back is that SCRUM-shitty-lous Calzone in F/C. That is the most pathetic meal in airline history. They should make the Director of Catering be forced to eat that for ONE WEEK......then we will see how soon that crap gets pulled from the menu. The BOB is so tired at this point it doesn't even generate a response from me.

The Street must be collectively be smokin' a big doobie...
Or maybe DoUgIe had them out for a golf game.

Seriously, we could all probably use a toke of a good doobie right now. Maybe The Street could give us a hit from their bong.

I've heard it's Bud Light flavored and served at watering holes on the local golf course. 😉

One brokerage house doesn't wall street make. The First Call consensus on earnings estimates has been slowly, but surely, dropping since the first of the year. Even Lehmann Bros., which had been one of the more bullish on LCC, now has estimates near the low end of the range.
