there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to insult UAL or the infamous Gershwin tune. (That song will always make ME think of United Airlines and when the airline decided to discontinue "Rhapsody in Blue" I felt they made a critical error in Marketing). To most people, that tune and the United shield were synonymous.........Style, class and tasteful. (Parker's "vision" of US is anything BUT........more like Trashed,classless and a clusterf*.) I agree, I love Rhapsody In Blue, sheer class. I love the moving sidewalk in ORD with the flashing neon lights and Gerswhin in the background.

They have not discontinued use of the tune. It plays on some of thier safety videos, and was in thier last ad capaign, "Its Time To Fly"- the series of animated commercials. I'm not sure if it was in the previous "Rising" campaign.

THAT SONG is not available. On a recent Employee/FreqFlyer survey (HA) that tune was selected as the song to be played when WE P*ss on their (Tempe's) graves. That will be followed with a BIG WAD of spit. Disgusting! (And a very fitting tribute. Take a bow "Clowns".)
