Would you mind adding some clarity to your answer?

No is to the point but not very informative.
Sure. The question you asked was:

Do you believe that Democrats in blue states give government UNION employees inflated pay with the intent of channeling increased UNION dues to fund the Democratic Party and to influence government employees to keep voting Democrat at the taxpayers' expense?

To which, I responded "no." As in, no I don't believe that explicitly occurs. I'm not sure what more you're looking for here?

2. How 'bout it's wrong to be forced to join a union and pay dues, in order to retain employment at certain company's!
That's not what I asked.

If I see some to point at and laugh, it doesn't matter who he is talking to. Or if he is talking to himself.
I see.

Do unto others as others have done unto you.

People point and laugh at you all the time. You are simply following your own version of the Golden Rule.

People laugh at you because you are an idiot.

You laugh at others because you are an idiot.

I get it.

Volkswagen’s Chattanooga employees have spurned the United Auto Workers, rejecting two years of wooing by the Detroit-based union in a vote of 712 to 626.

The vote count came late Friday after three days of balloting by VW workers in the National Labor Relations Board-supervised election. Some experts said the result is a blow to the UAW and that the VW plant was its best chance to organize a foreign-owned auto factory in the South.

Jack Nerad, executive market analyst of Kelley Blue Book, said UAW put a lot of work into trying to organize VW’s Chattanooga operation. He termed it “a publicity setback for certain.”

“On behalf of Volkswagen Group of America, I want to thank all of our Chattanooga production and maintenance employees for their participation in this week's vote. They have spoken, and Volkswagen will respect the decision of the majority,” said Frank Fischer, CEO and chairman of Volkswagen Chattanooga. “The election results remain to be certified by the NLRB,” Fischer, said.

I could see this being challenged and another election run due to Senator Corker's remarks the day before the vote.

Do you think the outcome will change?

Personally, I do not.

Only 44 votes would need to change. When you have a sitting United States Senator from your state threaten your job the day before the election, do you think that had any effect?

You may be correct though as you cannot Un-ring the bell that Corker sounded.

Yes I do.

Yeah, right...challenge the outcome by what soon will become a bogus NLRB group by SCOTUS.

Since VW did not interfere with the election,....THIS just reaffirms my belief about how F'n STUPID.....Red-Necks are in the SE quardrant of this country.
Ask yourself.  What kind of an IMBECILE allows a company to CONTINUE to make MORE and MORE profits, while the employees wages remain STAGNANT for the last 15 years.
Doesn't said employee's cost of living continue to rise year over year, while his/her wages DO NOT ?

It's that kind of mind-set that scares me quite frankly.
And SPARE Me the phoney HORSE SHIIT that the cost of living remains LOW in a place like chattenoga (in eastern Tenn.), as that particuliar area, similiar to (say) Ashville in western NC are receiving MORE and MORE and MORE transplants from the North / Northeast !

Hey,...Ol' (southern) Forest Gump said it best,................."STUPID IS, as STUPID DOES"  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Anyone still confused as to why the SOUTH lost the WAR in the 1860's)  ?????????????????

Once again, most union supporters here are against corporate welfare, so if that holds true concerning workers at the VW plant, the Senators remarks would have no bearing on the vote........................right 700?

I think you need to look at some of the highlight reels to get a full picture of what is going on.

Over the next three years, VW is expected to boost the average worker's wage from $14.50 to $19.50, pushing up the total cost for a worker to roughly $38 an hour, according to the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, Mich.

That may very well be a decent wage for someone with minimal education (Diploma/GED) in that area. I would also remind you that American Airlines starts a Fleet Service Clerk at almost minimum wage and part time at that. It takes 9 years (if memory serves) to top out at $21.16 and the employee gets to PAY for this "service". Volkswagen is offering $19.50 for an average worker in three years (from my understanding this is the STARTING wage or rather will be). You say they were fools to turn down the UNION. I say when they have UNIONS like the TWU as an example why would they want one?

Detroit had labor costs of around $70 an hour, but in the last few years the three companies have won concessions from the United Auto Workers union. Ford's labor cost is now about $58 an hour, according to the company.

I think we all know what kind of shape Detroit is in.

“These are the best-paying jobs available anywhere in Chattanooga,” said one Volkswagen worker who asked us not to use his name. “You do everything knowing there are a dozen people out there who would gladly do your job if you don’t want it.”

THIS is why they agree to work for a lower wage. This is simply the best they can do in their area with the opportunities their skill set and education will allow them.

Volkswagen received over 35,000 applications for its initial hiring batch of 1,500 employees,

I think this sums up why the employees were not willing to UNIONIZE. The workers are highly disposable and they know it. Volkswagen may SAY they are for the UNION, the truth is, they probably knew it was doomed to fail from the start.  This was just their way of making a PR statement that they are "for the working man".

Then you have this.

"Almost every time I ask people why they moved here they say for a job," Davis said. "We're drawing people to the area for jobs. And that's to be expected, because places like Volkswagen and Wacker can't fill all their jobs with native Chattanoogans."

I realize at first this seems to conflict with the statement above that there are few employment opportunities in Chattanooga. They may be referring to jobs they cannot fill with HS diploma and GED level employees. These are probably technical or engineering level jobs. That is only a guess of course.

But the number of businesses started annually in Chattanooga has been rising steadily during the last five years, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. And that's another factor that's starting to tug young people to Chattanooga. With a handful of business incubators and a smaller market, the city has built a fledgling reputation for being entrepreneur-friendly.

I believe this is the real reason the senator threatened the employees of Volkswagen. He wants to promote his city as "business friendly". A high profile UNION takeover could impact the cities growth rate. He sees the UAW as a threat to future tax revenue.

Beyond crime, another major challenge for the region will be providing high-quality elementary and high school education, Sudderth said. Chattanooga's school system is divided by a grand canyon -- with poverty-ridden, poorly performing schools on one side and affluent, high-performing schools on another.

Guess which side Volkswagen employs?

The side with the affluent families and better education probably view working at Volkswagen with a certain stigma. That may be why Volkswagen can not fill jobs that require higher education with Chattanooga residents.
