I just checked the afa web site, nothing there yet...have you gotten anymore info? Why would Donna Ford resign already?/

No new information yet as everyone is shocked or in panic mode .I don't know Donna Ford that well but I know from the person she spoke with she was adamant and already called AFA.If you see the warning signs why would you want to be a willing participant in a disaster?I also hear AFA is just as shocked with the outcome. Let not mince words this is a huge pile of crap for us. :down:

The PHL f/as just voted in Laura Albert via McCorkle. With 274 votes for John, Laura was voted in with around the same votes.

PHL gets the representation that they voted for and what they obviously deserve to have. :down:

This is bad news not only for the PHL fa/s but for the MEC as well. You guys just watch how this will work out... Laura will still be getting paid fpl from John McCorkle as his assistant with no accountability. That's the ticket. Laura got one up on all of you. John is not capable of making any headway with management, and I can assure you he has no credibility with the MEC. MAYBE,you guys will have another chance when his term is up July 2008.

Glad I'm out of there.

What was the turn out? Of the roughly 2200 how many actually voted.

I am only aware of two candidates votes:

Celine Deluca 75
John McCorkle 274

There still is Andy, Terry, and Brian yet to be out.

I did hear that the elected Sec/treas has already resigned because she knows she will not be able to work with those who were elected.

I am sure John will be putting in Laura to help with all the dues $$ in PHL to cover the sec/treas position.

I will never understand why f/as just don't actively participate in casting a vote for their representation. So easy too...phone balloting is quick and simple. Takes about 3 minutes. This kind of stuff happens when there is a poor turnout.
