I wouldn't bet on that. There was a huge number of viewers that found Biden's facial expressions, smug smile, and interupting of Ryan to be ill-classy and unprofessional.

Classic that Biden complained about time, just as Obama did. Biden got 41:50 of talk-time, Ryan got 40:05...

I actually like Paul Ryan as a person, and SWEAR I will never refer to this man, Ever again as ICABOD CRANE.
PR is certainly a guy from humple roots, with a nice looking family to boot.
I'm sure he honestly believes in what he thinks and says, and I respect that man for that.

Where the problem, for the young congressman, comes in is....he's hitched his wagon to a F'n guy who from the day he popped out of the womb;

1. Has never got his hands DIRTY a day in his life
2. Has NEVER had to worry ($$$$) a day in his life
3. And is EONS away from ever knowing the type of early days that Joe Biden or Paul Ryan or Barack Obama experienced !

I'll use a talking point that (effects/is effecting me) from the VP debate last night. I'm sure others on here may be able to use some of the other points that may effect them.

PAUL RYAN, and "GREEN PORK".

Paul Ryan : , "Look at just the $90B in stimulus the VP was in charge of overseeing-this $90B in GREEN PORK to campaign contributors and special interest groups. "

THE FACTS:

Dismissing an entire package of energy stimulus grants and loans as "green pork" IGNORES the help that was given to people to make thier homes more energy efficient, grants to public utilities constucting ..High Speed Rail lines and tax credits to Manufacturers to install equiptment fostering cleaner energy ! (MY WORDS,....USA Manufacturers MAKE things and EMPLOY American Workers).......'DUH' !!

(continuing)..To be sure, there were notable failed investments such as $528M to the politically connected and now bankrupt solor power company Solyndra.

BUT Ryans Claim made it sound like every penny went down the drain !

More broadly, economists are nearly Universal in saying Obama's $800B+ stimulus passed in 2009 HELPED CREATE both public sector and private sector jobs, even if they fell somewhat short of what sponsors had hoped.

Douglas Elmendorf, director of the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimated the stimulus Created or SAVED 3 Million JOBS !!!!!!!!!!

Where it effects/is effecting me;

I was a recipient of a job "In 2009" with Amtrak. ($20 ph, excellent medical and a DEFINDED Pension)

AMTRAK, where it effects Paul Ryans state of Wisconcin.

The US DOT awarded Wisconcin $$ to upgrade the Chicago to Milwakee/Madison route, to High Speed Rail.
The combined population between these(STRAIGHT LINE) points is, as follows:

Illinois; Cook county, and Lake county...................."6" Million people, a TON who work in the Chicago area.
Wisconcin: Milwaukee, Kenosha and Racine counties...................."1.5" MILLION people, who most likely work in either the Milwaukee or Chicago area. And thats NOT counting the state capital Madison Wisconcin area, the population figures I dont have at this moment, But I know Kev3188 does have.

Sadly, the great state of Wisconcin WONT see a FAST and ENERGY saving project.
WHY ?
Because Wisconcin Governor Scott Walker decided to PLAY POLITICS and would NOT accept the Federal Funds made available to Wisconcin residents !

And Finally, speaking of High Speed Rail running in a Straight line, it WAS pointed out to me by are very own Eolesen that ST Louis MO. is now considered 'Greater Chicago".

GEE, I wonder....how much "green pork" would save the enormous amount of Electrical Energy(vs Diesel fuel) and GOD knows How many American Jobs would be PERMAMENTLY Created over a rail line from St. Louis to CHICAGO to Milwaukee to Madison ?

FYI,

The mileage between STL-ORD-MKE-MSN is 457. Anyone think that mileage amount sounds familiar ?
Well its the EXACT same Rail Mileage between BOS-NYC-PHL-DCA.

Ask the Airlines how well there doing in distances 450 miles or under when in competition with High Speed Rail ! (maybe they think thier LOST passengers are driving auto's or on GREYHOUND over this distance)

The REPUGS .. W A N T the polluting DIESEL(sp?) fuel used.
The REPUGS....W A N T the gas used to drive those 450 miles. ( O I L my friends) !

The GOP doesn't GIVE A SHIIT about middle class jobs.

I'd like to add this to my opinion of Paul Ryan.
While I am.......Diametrically...opposed to Mr. Ryans politics, Paul Ryan is a credit to his state of Wisconcin, and I mean that with the utmost sincerity !!

In this country, the Friendliest people you'll ever meet ARE from Wisconcin, or Minnesota. In general, they are Genuine and Sincere.

Kev3188, Maybe you can give me/us the Reason Why this is True about WI/MN.

Who knows. Down the road, (tall and lanky) Paul Ryan could turn out to be like another tall, lanky, smart and likeable Republican politician........Alan Simpson (Wy).

He might've come from humble roots, but he's forgot where he came from.

... Which by the way happens to lead WI in unemployment right now... So much for "job creation," and the like.

Ryan was all for green dollars pouring into his district before he was against them...

Yep, one of Walker's- who ran on a platform not of union busting, but of creating over 200k jobs- first acts was to turn back the federal rail dollars; money that would've directly supported high paying jobs in the region.

Instead, WI taxpayers are on the hook to update the Hiawatha line instead- costs that also would've been covered with the federal dollars. Brilliant.

Ryan is anything but what you've just listed. He's used up a lot of runway trading on his "he's a nice guy" reputation. At one point, that may have been largely true, but it does not excuse his track record, nor things like charging his constituents a fee to see him.

Nothing but the same ole, same ole and we can see where that has led us, in the last 4 years.
Besides, apparently I'm not the only one tired of hearing, "It's Bush's fault" ! When is the Barrack/Biden comedy-duo going to grow a pair and take any responsibility for their actions ?
