MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Flailing away with two kitchen knives, a 16-year-old boy with a "blank expression" stabbed and slashed 19 students and a security guard in the crowded halls of his suburban Pittsburgh high school Wednesday before an assistant principal tackled him.

This happens to be Murrysville......I lived there back in the 70's. The boro next to where I live is adjacent to Murrysville and is the same school district....most from my area have grown up and bought homes in that boro and raised families there as it was developing for the past 20 or so years. Most of these peoples parents still live in my boro......and like I said, its right next door. I know a family of the same last name as the perp who have grown children who live in that boro with
their families.....its an unusual name too....I'm reluctant to call one of my friends who should know.

At 1:20 a.m., police received a 911 call from inside the home reporting a stabbing.
“[He allegedly] arrived at the party, obtained a large knife and targeted the victims one by one, stabbing them several times. When our officers arrived, three young men were discovered deceased in the home,” said Chief Hanson.
A woman was also injured, and a fifth man suffering stab wounds was found bleeding on the lawn.
Two were transferred to hospital in critical condition, where they died.
