We the People

How many have been slaughtered in the name of God? I bet quite a few more than american indians.

One of the reasons the Natives were slaughtered was because of the fact that they did not believe in the 'right' god. They were considered heathens and savages due to their lack of faith.

I thought they were the victims of homesteading terrorists with superior weaponry, and a few other things.

"Bob, you Americans don't understand. People DIE to come here, not like you die for cigarette, No they die Dead Bob, We risk everything even our very lives for the chance to be free"

Bob, you americans don't understand, people die to come here for free health care, free housing, free food, and Bob, you get to pay for it all. By the way, we don't speak english, so make sure you teach our children in our language.

I believe the Native Americans did some slaughtering too.

Perhaps they were defending their home land?

OK kids who said the words below?

"We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. ... We have never made good on our promises. ... I say after __ years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started ... and an enormous debt to boot!"

We have never begun to tax the people in this country the way they should be..... I don't pay what I should. People in my class don't. People who have it should pay

Well then Warren Buffet should just reach into his 40 billion dollar net worth and donate 20% of his wealth to the Feds. Let him lead by example not Op-Ed piece.

The problem with Socialism is when you run out of others peoples money to spend

BTW, Ms Tree care to hazard a guess at who said the above quote I posted?

According to what I was able to find the author of your quote is the same person who wrote what I quoted.

I believe you quoted Mr Warren Buffet correct?

FDR's very own treasury secretary, Henry Morgenthau, saw the folly of the New Deal.
The quote was from Secretary Morgenthau. Socialism works splendidly right up until you run out of other peoples money to conviscate and spend.

FDR's "National Recovery Act" was viewed by blacks at the times as openly discriminatory. Blacks were especially hard hit by the NRA. Black spokesmen and the black press often referred to the NRA as the "Negro Run Around," Negroes Rarely Allowed," "Negroes Ruined Again," "Negroes Robbed Again," "No Roosevelt Again" and the "Negro Removal Act." Fortunately, the courts ruled the NRA unconstitutional. As a result, unemployment fell to 14 percent in 1936 and lower by 1937

The 1930s depression was caused by and aggravated by acts of government, and so was the current financial mess that we're in. Do we want to repeat history by listening to those who created the calamity? That's like calling on an arsonist to help put out a fire.
