The last six quarters, the West side has lost money.

Why should the East side be burdened with losers?

Perhaps we could sell the West side to a Mexicana or perhaps a commuter. Mesa might cut a deal or perhaps reduce the operation to charter ops. I doubt anyone could be induced, short of drugs or blackmail, to buy the West operation.

Perhaps the East side should just take out in equity what they paid and move away from a completely moronic operation. Let them wither because of their ignorance and then move back in to grab what little is a positive, two route segments.

It is obvious to my Warren Buffett co-workers that HP based their survival on merging with US.

I say, cut the damn anchor and move on. I am certain US will have to hire so the A&W pilots will not be without job opportunities, at least the non-scabs.

Dude you need help. Why stir the pot, unless east and west are united management will win. Your post does nothing but drive a bigger wedge between two groups of people. People like you and your posts are like a cancer and will eventually lead to the death of an organization because unless we all work and fight management together we are going to fail. You are an ass, IMHO.

East and West will not be united unless the Nicolau disaster is dealt with. The West like to justify Nicolau by saying that the East pilots are lucky to have a job. Thus the fact that the West hasn't made any money is relevant.

The several airline pilot groups that make up AAA are united in a way they have never been. If you want the AAA pilots and the AWA pilots to unite then may I suggest that Mesa should "save" LCC and staple all the pilots? B)

Let's see, AAA and AWA had numerous chances to negotiate their seniority integration. It obviously didn't happen and depending on which side you choose to believe the reasons vary. As a union member myself (AFA) I understanding the whole meaning of binding arbitration. Maybe I missed something somewhere, but didn't both sides know that the decision would be binding? Didn't they know there were risks in letting it get that far? I'm honestly not being snarky, I'm just genuinely confused and wondering if those points were not made clear to the membership of both sides. Granted the west has nothing to complain about with the ruling and I'm not debating the decision, just wondering why it went to arbitration if there was even a doubt that the ruling could hurt either side. The devil you know is better than the one you don't.

The Nicolau "disaster" does need to be dealt with, but I don't see either side budging and IF the east is able to decertify my guess is it will be a looooong time before either side sees any improvement in their work life. Not to mention how their "disaster" may impact the rest of us.

My guess is DoUgIe and Scotty are trying hard to figure a way out of this mess, hence the trips to Chicago. Who knows where any of us may end up.
