now that the west csr's are under the cwa cba, they lose disability, that was really the only "maternity leave they had, fmla for 12 weeks , six paid under disability and 6 unpaid..
Just curious for any info one might pass along to the west on what thecsr's or any group has to look forward too as a new company

For F/As:

You can take maternity immediately with a doctor's note. Paperwork from the company will have to be signed saying that you can not perform the following duties, e.g. lift X lbs, push/pull X lbs, etc.

You can use, or not use your sick bank. After exhaustion of sick bank, you can use any unused vacation credits or carry over.

You can claim disability with a waiting period of 120 days up until six weeks after delivery, or eight weeks if a C-section is necessary. You must have a legitimate reason for the disability. During the 120 days, you can file for unemployment after getting a written statement from inflight stating that there are no positions on the ground within inflight available for you currently.

FMLA after delivery applies.

You can also request to stay out for a total of six months after delivery. This could total 15 months of maternity leave.

F/As shall retain longevity.

Details for maternity and adoption policies can be found in the contract pp. 20-3 thru 20-5.

OK..let this one sit long enough...What made you think anyone on the East side could GET pregnant..much less anybody cause it! There. Now I feel better. Greeter (just kidding)

What with benefits headed in the direction they are, I'd recommend taking an aspirin.....

...and holding it between your knees! 😛

Used to be you could marry a pilot, but that ain't the cash cow it once was!

Would love to work in the production of "O" at the Bellagio!

Abortions are a specialty at USAirways.

Were the pilots to collectively possess any kind of self-esteem, they would force management to actually run an airline, rather than allow management to focus on whatever fantasy temporarily springs to their forehead.

Geez when will it end, are you high or crazy. A person asks something regarding an upcoming child and you have to being the whole house down with your rants.

You sure are keeping the moderator busy. Perhaps we should kick this guy off the board until he quiets down.

I dunno, FlyingCat. I kinda like having a poster who's even nuttier than I am. It legitimizes my participation. 😛
