CHAOS, will it happen????? We are actively watching this (F9) in the Denver area so that we can help the displaced UniTED travelers still get to their destinations. Next few weeks or months could be a god send to F9!!!! but bad for the Denver travlers!

Here's a quote from ALPA's MEC communications:

"After Judge Wedoff’s ruling, UAL withdrew its Section 1113c filing against the AFA, as the pension issue was the only issue facing the AFA. AFA’s claim regarding the Salaried and Management reduction calculations is scheduled for arbitration later this month and should resolve one way or the other the AFA’s notice to terminate their Agreement over non-pension issues."

With the 1113c filing removed, there is no contract abrogation, therefore no legal basis for CHAOS or any other job action by the AFA.

Sorry fishy. Guess you have to go home disappointed, and Ted can continue kicking your sorry a$$.

Again 767, if TED is doing SOOOOO GOOOOD, show us the money they are making???
With UniTED losing 10 MIL a day I wonder how much of that is a lose at TED????

767,

I agree with you that a strike will not happen, but it is possible the F/A's or mechanics will begin a sickout or slow down similar to the the ones orchestrated by the pilots several years back. Good luck.

Well, not quite. Even though the entire contract was not abrogated, the section of the contract pertaining to pensions was. AFA's position is that this is a unilateral change to the collective bargaining agreement and therefore justifies self-help such as CHAOS.

More info about their position and plans can be found at their website, www.unitedafa.org.

I don't disagree with you. The AFA has a responsibility to it's members to explore every avenue. However, as someone else pointed out, I think their legal council is informing the AFA that they are on slippery legal ground and options are limited.

We will see how this plays out though.

$10,000,000 a day?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are you smoking? 🙄

And why should anyone show you, the competition, anything? I don't see Frontier or any other airline releasing proprietary information like that to the public. Are you really that dense?

Nevermind. I know the answer to that.

According to the information for the past few months, that is about what we've been losing/day.

While we're talking about it...wasn't UAL supposed to release it's financial statements yesterday...can't find them anywhere.
