Will someone please shed the light on why news organizations, and discussion groups continue to focus on carriers that have, and continue to be in Bankruptcy? As I have said and continue to say BK for AA is, and was the best choice for the airline? However, since they have decided to avoid the truth voted upon by its current employees, and avoid BK when others continue to thrive and fly under the current administration's view of the BK law...Why does the current mgmt of this carrier avoid not only it's employees view of what's right for the company, it continues to throw the customers point of view of the situation out the window...Those who are at AA Mgmt had better wakeup and understand the "NEW" customer of today, or file Cpt. 7 and call it quits...It's That Simple!

What Unity?

Because in BK they would have to give up control. Our sacrifices where made so our union leaders could keep their multi-million dollar kickbacks from the company and the executives could keep their jobs.

AA = Arrogant Airlines!

If you read the latest economic tea leaves, you read that that interest rates are creeping upwards, making for tighter money. AMR not a current member of the BK club, would have easier access to the banks. With regard to loss of membership due to BK, ask the union executive boards at UAL, DL, NWA if they would have done things differently (in hindsight ). The airlines are also losing hundreds of executive positions daily, as people realize that there is no future in this field, there's no "looking up" anymore, only out.

So all in all, I believe AMR made the right decision to safeguards it's future and control it's feeble assets.

Just, be prepared for more concessions down the bumpy road ahead.
