Or just look at what a head coach of a big name university makes. You have to wonder the logic of a public university pulling in htat kind of money when so many states are cutting back on their education budgets.

The ironic thing about those kids who tormented that young man is that one day when they have a family of their own they will hang their heads in shame.

You seem to be missing my point. I did not say anything about them not growing up to be normal people. What I said was that one day they will look back on thier actions with regret. Just as, at least I hope so, those two you talked about now probably regret what they did with that dog.

It is important to note that until evidence is presented in court and the person(s) are found guilty to hold off on blatant assumptions. No matter how outrageous they may be. And by whom.

Remember the infamous McMartin Preschool Trial in the 80's? The media had swept it into a firestorm with false allegations that were considered highly credible.

The trial ran from 1987 to 1990. After six years of criminal trials, no convictions were obtained, and all charges were dropped in 1990. When the trial ended in 1990 it had been the longest and most expensive criminal trial in American history.

After the dust settled innocent peoples lives were forever ruined.

If the person(s) responsible are to be found guilty by the evidence presented, then they can rot in hell. But until then, they are innocent until proven guilty.

The point people are missing is that the Penn State police are different than most campus police forces. They are a real police force. They carry guns. They aren't rent-a-cops. They have jurisdiction over the campus, which includes the Penn State football offices.

Also have to remember that just because a person is found not guilty in a court of law, that does not mean that they are also innocent. It just means that they were found not guilty. A number of guilty people have gone free because the jury could not/would not convict or the prosecutor botched the case.

Accusations of child abuse (whether sexual or violent physical) are rarely "made up" by the child. (Have a good friend who worked in Child Welfare Protective Services for many years.) And, if this were an adult making a false claim with hope of making some undeserved money, why accuse an retired assistant coach? Acuse Joe Pa. He's the one with the moolah. As Dillinger (I think) said, "I rob banks because that is where the money is."

Actually the quote at the end is usually attributed to Willie Sutton. I don't disagree with what you say either. I smell a rat here and it isn't Joe Paterno either. We have to be patient and wait for the turds to float.

A family spokesman says former Penn State coach Joe Paterno, who is battling lung cancer, is in serious condition after experiencing health complications.

"Over the last few days Joe Paterno has experienced further health complications," spokesman Dan McGinn said in a brief statement Saturday to The Associated Press. "His doctors have now characterized his status as serious.
