I know this has been brought up in the past but with DL handing out packages, fuel going up & on & on. What do you think ? Has anyone really heard anything ?
My friend accepted the buyout his company offered February 2007. He thought he would do that and get another job. He is still looking for that job, but the jobs he gets means relocation. Prior to him taking the buyout, he just had recently paid off his mortgage and his two cars. Thus making a buyout reasonable. He will not relocate and he is not really complaining about his decision, just wished that they would have offered it a year later. His wife is in charge of Nursing at a Philadelphia area Hospital. So his income isn't that much of a priority.I know this has been brought up in the past but with DL handing out packages, fuel going up & on & on. What do you think ? But there are many people out there that will jump at the Lump/Bulk Sum and run with it. With the economy the way it is, I would suggest that you don't jump at it so fast if offered, unless your in a situation such as my friend was. I do hope the economy turns around, but I don't see that happening too soon.
You never know, they may offer you a lifetime supply of Biscoff crackers and all the $0.03 pretzels you can eat...With this joke of a company, nobody should expect anything worthwhile to be offered so consider this topic a pipedream!
