What's new

Windows Vista

Very interesting - there are quite a few employees who have gotten computers with Vista on them - I will forward this to them. THANK YOU!

I'm the CEO of Deterministic Networks, Inc. Apparently the Flightline VPN includes one of our components called DNE (I suspect they OEM the VPN client from one of our customers). Unfortunately, from a recent support request, I note that it has a very old, pre-Vista version of DNE included. Also, a few weeks ago, Microsoft issued a Windows Update for Vista which now blocks early versions of DNE on Vista. They were supposed to only block new installations of old versions of DNE, but they chose to also block working versions of DNE which interrupts network connectivity. We're working on resolving this with Microsoft.

In the meantime, you can likely get your VPN clients working on Vista if you download the DNEUpdate from the lower right of our homepage at www.deterministicnetworks.com. If you don't have the product already running on Vista, install the DNEUpdate, then install the VPN client - it will work with a newer version of DNE.

If you have questions, you can contact us through the support form on our website. You will usually get a response within a few hours.

It works! I just connected last night. I had to call FLICA several time. What you have to do, is download the software directly from the website, if it doesn't work uninstall it and repeat the process until it works. I know it sound stupid, but I just bought a brand new DELL XPS with VISTA Professional and it works.

Good luck.

Yep!

Beta tested for Flightline (and did not get paid) to get Maestro to work on Vista. Install, update, run = No Go?

Uninstall, re-install, update, run till it goes.

Pathetic but they are slow updating the code to get it to work in a new OS after the first install.

Has ran flawlessly w/ Vista on several PC's that me and others have for a few months now.

I bought a Dell laptop with Vista about 3 months ago...

What a pain in the a$$!!!!

First of all, it is not compatible with McAfee Virus software!! Why Dell put it on there....I don't know.

Catcrew was not initially compatible, but with some adjustments it is working....but larger than life.

I have been on with Dell tech some much with issues..which just caused snowball effects...that the computer has to be reset to factory.

What a friggin mess!!!!!

What's Maestro? Sounds like a music program.

I've been using a Vista computer for over a month and haven't come across anything that does not work now that did with XP.

The West's bidding system.....East has Catcrew

The West's bidding system.....East has Catcrew

Thanks for the info.

Who would have thought that, as absolutely crude as it is, CATCREW would work through all of Bill Gates' incarnations?

I know. I know. CATCREW access is really just a virtual terminal or some such rot and will work with just about anything. But it is interesting that it has survived intact all these years.
