I just received a call from the Wilson people on behalf of ALPA. Lots of probing on how ALPA might dance around this mess. Interestingly, not one question about throwing the Nicolau award out!

Anyway, I'm curious. Is ALPA conducting a poll in the West as well? If so what types of questions are you being asked?

We are being polled to and the questions are from what we are being told are out of line.

I had to refuse the poll for obvious reasons however from what many pilots who took the poll told me was that the questions were out of line. I will find out more this morning.

"obvious reasons "...."the questions were out of line". Ummm...can you be a little less specific?

Thanks anyway. I think I get the tone of the survey = Alpo wants anyway it can find to escape the consequences of it's own blunders, and...surprise/surprise...they're fine with selling out the AWA "Righteous Cause" just as easilly as anyone else's. They're testing the waters at AWA for any potential for compromise = ""the questions were out of line."

Well yea, they are looking to slither their way around this whole thing on both sides. Just send your dues and stop your belly acking. I was just curious as to the theme of the questions the West is getting. Apparently, it's too secret to share.

It's not at all that it's too secret, I just have yet to get them but as soon as I do I will post it as promised.

I didn't get polled myself, but "testing waters" would be consistent with just about everything else they've been doing. I'm glad they're polling our pilot group; maybe they'll realize that the Rice Committee is a waste of time.
