OK, but I guess I am still missing the part where UA was somehow made aware of your skills in this area? Or are you saying that every time UA has an opening in a highly technical area for every specific project, it should interview every CSR and baggage handler on the off chance there is some hidden talent out there?
Hey, if you have these skills, great. Put your resume in for these positions.
Again, you are totally missing the point. I've got skills, no doubt 😀, but so do many others out there. We PAID THESE IDIOTS KERPs! Here's an idea, maybe if Glen truly were the type leader he claims to be and gets PAID to be, he should have searched for these skills within or outside the company LONG AGO. Maybe he should ACTIVELY seek out skilled folks within the company. Maybe that should be part of the otherwise waste of paper called "eye on UA". Again, THIS ISN'T ABOUT ME. It's about management team that can't shoot straight. Frankly, I don't think I'd leave my current gig to write code at UAL anyway. Are you getting this.. IT'S NOT ABOUT ME. It's about management team that couldn't figure out how to optimize a system in 5 F'N YEARS. That means they spent MILLIONS on the idiots they have on staff to solve these problems to then go out and PAY FOR IT ELSEWHERE! And for that, Glen get's about $40 mill... Nice.
Clear Enough?
