But is the E170 handled by Mainline at DCA?

Correct Republic flights are handled by mainline in PHL, CLT, and DCA. When MidAtlantic was done away with and the E170's went to Republic it was part of the agreement that they would be worked by mainline in the hubs.

What agreement? and between who?

Republic and US Airways didnt do Jet for Jobs in the sale of the E170s, Jet for Jobs is for Pilots after the Bankruptcies, not ground workers.

Little correction there 700. You see, Republic and Usairways did to J4J when republic bought the 170's. You are correct though that j4j was a pilot thing.

I think what someone was alluding to, that in the lift agreement between republic and usairways, it may state that republic will be handled by Mainline, though not sure about that because the 170's started in C con in CLT, then shifted to Express for a year or so, then back to C con.......Think it had to do more with parking on the gates when the E terminal was expanded and such. They could shove more in there with 900's parking on E then with the 170's...

Is the E170/75 cargo holes pressurizes?

A better question is "why was the employee taking a nap in the cargo bin?", and why didn't his/her co-workers verify the bin was secure before closing the door? I see drug tests all around for the entire team that loaded this flight.

Please provide us where in the article does it state he was sleeping, as it does not.

And why would his coworkers be drug tested?
