Hmmmm...a real indicator of how 'minority' Muslims are is to learn from Belgium, where Muhammed became the #1 baby boy names.
False.

Oh stop being a condescending twerp. I know exactly what she said. And I knew the 'my chit does not stink' crowd would say something stupid and you did not disappoint.
She acknowledged that our COTUS is not perfect. We had slaves and that women did not have rights. She said that they should look at all constitutions for guidance but that the SA was one of the more recent ones written in current times. Seems reasonable to me.
The US COTUS is not for everyone. We are unique. I do not see our COTUS being used by Egypt or any other ME country
Only about 1/3 of the settlers favored independence in 1776 and we see how that turned out.
Mulims make up about 1% of the US population. Not 1/3 or 1/4, 1%. That would be a very neat trick to pull. Assuming the entire 1% wants to acheieve that goal. The fact that they live here and not say Iran or Saudi Arabia tells me otherwise.
I don't know, 1% have 95% of the wealth so anything is possible.
A www...so it dropped a few. But it was #1, and is still going strong. Muslims expect every woman to bear at least 5 children. And not ALL children are named Muhammed 😛
So who's sweeping them under the rug?Funny, I've seen several already here.... 😱
Just curious, are you talking immigrants or actual Muslims? Prisons seem to be where the Muslim convert population exists.Mulims make up about 1% of the US population. Not 1/3 or 1/4, 1%. It never was number 1. Here is the table going back to 2003:A www...so it dropped a few. But it was #1...
It looks like in 2008 and 2009 they also had another spelling added to the list. Previously they only had "Mohamed", then in 2008/2009 they added "Mohammed". If you add those two different spelling variations, it would still only put the name at #4 on the list for both of those years. It never was number 1. Here is the table going back to 2003:
Going in reverse order, the ranks are 6, 7, 7, 10, 8, 11, 15. The raw numbers are: 515, 492, 478, 405, 407, 392, 337.
In Belgium, as in some other European countries, the spelling of the name must be approved by the Population Registrar. In addition, please note that here are no variable spellings of the name in the top 100 names listed for each of the reported years.

I'm not that worried today as the numbers are small. Small but growing. Perhaps this time we will get ahead of the curve and be a bit more proactive as four states have already done. Those states have laws that prohibit judges from using foreign legal doctrine in their courts. This gets rid of honor killings and other cultural practices from far and not so far lands. It maintains our culture and preserves their Liberties as defined by the country they choose to live in.
Being proactive for a "problem" that does not exist. And what do honor killings have to do with it?
Some of the tenets and principles of Sharia and other legal doctrines have allowed residents of this country to be found not guilty of murder or "honor Killing" There was a case of some note in NJ. Let me see if I can find it and report back.
I find the whole "but in my culture I'd be found not guilty" as a criminal defense tactic to be offensive. Not surprising though given the world in which we live.
