Maybe they will have to pay it all back by NOT following the CDC recommendations. Shame on AA. Same day Delta announced all it's planes will only get to 60% LF capacity and maintain the distancing. Southwest is also following the distancing on aircraft. Why isn't American. Time for the public to start choosing their airline under certain circumstances.

You don’t seem to understand how US Air operated. Under their banner people knew what it was to fly a low cost carrier. Now they have put the American Name on and people expect more just because of the name change. It’s still run by US Air.

Hey there’s an idea because last I checked this is still America where people can choose.
There isn’t one passenger who was forced to sit on that plane.
Airlines won’t survive if we can’t start putting more on the planes, government money or not

He's butthurt because his airline is making a business decision to cap off sales, which is noble yet foolish. No airline can cover its costs t 65% load factors, not even Southwest.

And no, the government isn't requiring airlines to enforce social distancing or mask wearing. Nor should they.

Careful now, I think AA is booking to 85% now. 60% or 85% is not sustainable and you know it.Will SW be willing to book to 60% until there is a vaccine and everyone in the country is vaccinated? A pretty decent airline from Australia came out today and said something like airfares would have to go 9x to sustain limited bookings.
